I can’t believe it’s already that time again, but it’s August, which means it’s time to open the submissions window for our next print issue!

The theme for this year is LOUD!!! We’ll be printing some very special interviews with some very special artists, but that’s not all…

We want to hear from:
- Photographers
- Writers
- Visual artists

For writers, we ask that you keep your piece under 1,000 words where possible please. Reviews, opinion/perspectives, creative writing/poetry all welcome!!!

Festival szn might be over, but we’re still thinking about @loudplacesfestival ❣️ in her review, @mollyyellis raves about the hi-fi sound system and the obvious desire of the festival programmers to create community in an intimate space.

Better late than never… My thoughts from day 1 at Victorious❣️ I was having a bit of an internal crisis at first but it was all fun and games in the end.

Thank you @theslowcountryband for effectively adopting me and turning my frown upside down :(:

And of course, big up @victoriousfestival for continuing to spotlight emerging artists and not abandoning the core of festival culture by only keeping the big stages. I see you I appreciate you 🫦

Between the LOUD excitement of Victorious, we had some quiet moments with @cade.band and @theguestlist.band to sit down backstage and get illustrative. We now present to you… the improvised band mascots!!! 🤟

This is still our favourite interview ice breaker. It always delights us how concentrated everyone becomes. Detailed interviews to come… keep those eyes peeled 👀🧚‍♂️🥁🎸

We just interviewed @katenash at @victoriousfestival, no big deal.

Following our interview, @rayaliceleach has written a great and thought-provoking article about whether or not artists should cater to festival audiences or use their platforms for something more.

Nash’s headline set has been the subject of debate as she seized the opportunity to shine a light on some hard-hitting issues. Is it the artist’s problem to manage or temper a festival audience’s expectations? We don’t think so…
