finally dropping the Big Pride Photo Dump! I think I’ve already done a big emotional monologue about each individual thing I did during pride this year, so I’ll keep it short and sweet here: I am SO thankful for all the wonderful people I’ve gotten to meet and work with this pride month. during a time where we’re not sure how many more prides we’ll be able to have, being in community with y’all and celebrating (and redeclaring) the power of queer joy and resilience has been incredibly important to me. 🩸cutesy little proof of life feat. the month of August!🩸

lately I’ve been doing my best to prioritize fun in drag, because sometimes lately I’ve been catching myself treating drag more like a job than a passion. and like yeah, it’s definitely work, and hard work! but it’s also supposed to be FUN bitch! we do the art of drag SUCH a disservice when we just go through the motions and push through the gigs, it’s a magical thing that deserves a lot more than that! and this past month really reminded me of that.
•
I got to debut a couple of my new favorite numbers at the Vampire Beach Party (thanks again for having me @dannidangerous!) and work with a ghoul from Dragula for the first time! I also got the chance to do my first event (not pictured unfortunately lol) with @midwestern.lesbian, and it was a dream and a half!
•
as we move closer to the Halloween season (unless you’re like me and you’ve been celebrating since July 5th), I can’t wait to have a whole lotta fun with all of you. it’s an honor and a privilege to get to share my art with you, and I plan on bringing you my best and having a damn good time doing it! 🖤

I was truly honored and overjoyed to get to share the stage at sPUNK @crossingslexington ! not only was it a wonderful celebration of alternative drag, but it was the last time to see @stixenstones perform before she moves to Portland. I’ve spent a lot of time gushing about her lately because I love her so much, so here I’ll keep it brief.

Stixen, I love you, I’m honored to know you and be a part of your family, and this place won’t be the same without you. I and the rest of your drag family are obviously sad to see you go, but SO so happy to see you follow your dreams. to paraphrase a friend of mine, it’s our responsibility now to tend the garden that you’ve planted, and I can’t wait to see what you plant in this next chapter of your life. those divas aren’t ready for you 🖤

💀 He is Risen 💀

for Easter this year, I wanted to channel the way that so many of us queer and trans people have been feeling lately. Lost, terrified, forsaken, and doomed. it’s been so hard and so painful to fight to exist every day, both mentally and politically, and to feel like a power greater than us would be more than happy to see us all crucified.
•
I’ve never been much of a biblical scholar, so tbh I don’t know if there’s even a shred of biblical accuracy in Jesus Christ Superstar, but I always connected really deeply with this song. with how Jesus in his final hours was so frustrated and angry with a father who, rather than show care and mercy, chose silence and coldness. That demand to abandon the self for a god too big to even notice your sacrifice never sat right with me.
•
I think the big difference, though, between Jesus’ story and the world we find ourselves in today is that when the going got tough Jesus’ community abandoned him and left him for dead, and we’ve banded together to protect and take care of each other. There’s more than one way to sacrifice for the greater good. Maybe the only thing we need to sacrifice for a better world is a little of our time, a little attention, and a little love to the people who need it most. Maybe that’s what salvation really is.

I haven’t been posting as much recently, and just to level with y’all for a minute I’ve not been doing super well. the combination of the horrors all around the world and stuff in my personal life have really been weighing on me lately. I’ve spent a lot of time these days feeling overwhelmed, lost, and defeated. that being said, some of the moments captured in these photos (and BOY do I wish I had more photos lol) are commemorating some points of real joy in my life these days. I’m so thankful for my chosen family, my community, and the art of drag.
•
drag has given my life purpose again, and even during the times when I’m bone tired and in pain after a gig, when my makeup looks bad, when a performance doesn’t go the way I want it to, I’m still filled with the joy that our queer ancestors have given to us. for thousands of years the art of transformation and gender transgression has brought so much joy, reverence, and meaning to countless lives. I’m so thankful to carry on that tradition, and hopefully leave the world a little bit better than I found it. I love you all so so much, please stick together, take care of each other, and FIGHT HB 249 WITH ALL THAT YOU FUCKING HAVE

Ins and Outs for 2026

on a brief and serious note, I am SO thankful for all of the wonderful people I’ve had in my life this year. this has been one of the most difficult and terrifying years that many of us have ever had (understatement of the fucking century), and I don’t know if I would have made it without the friends, lovers, and chosen family I’ve had the privilege of sharing my life with.
