ad/invite | Popped for a cheeky little revisit to @makiramen last week, this time throwing in some sushi for good measure. Really enjoyed the grilled set, would go back for that alone, and the steak tataki ramen. Cute spot in the heart of New Street (particularly pretty if you’re a fan of all things purple - hence the colour of the food 😆) with good portions for the price. taken in Maki & Ramen by @biteyourbrum

ad/preview | Earlier this week, to celebrate their 3rd birthday, I got a little sneak peek at the new sharing steak platters hitting the menu at @en_steak for autumn.

You’re in for a Hereford beef treat cooked over coal, whether your heart is set on sirloin or T-bone. There’s also an array of sides and starters (the tuna tataki is realllll good) to get excited about.

Keep an eye on their socials for the menu drop but here’s a little preview to whet your whistle 👀

Roast season is back, babyyyyy 🧡

Kicking off the ‘ber gravy months with this beauty from @distilleryb16. Firstly, they do a three meat combo, so bonus points for that. Secondly, the portions are great for the price. Thirdly, the roast potatoes are fucking fantastic.

I’m slightly biased as the pub is only 5 minutes from my gaff but, I rate it for the grub and the relaxed vibes on a Sunday.

ad/invite | What do two overstimulated millennials need more in life than a time sensitive escape room on a random Tuesday afternoon! 😂

We had a great time at @escapehuntuk that’s now right in the middle of the city centre. There’s various games to choose from (we played Jewel of India) with different difficulty levels. We managed to complete this one with a few minutes to spare which, considering the shambles that was the initial 10 minutes, we were pretty happy with.

Can’t show you a lot for obvious reasons but here’s some chaotic scenes that don’t spoil anything in case you fancy trying it.

Happy news! @theboilerroombirmingham is now open, just off Victoria Square.

The bar is pretty (they’ve done a nice job of the fit out) and there’s lots of outdoor seating if you want to soak up the autumn sunshine.

Decent beer selection (inc some local breweries) and definitely worth having a look if you’re in the area ☺️

Didn’t have an intimate lunch with a Hollywood actor on my September bingo card but, what a lovely way to end the month.
