Trust me, I was also hesitant that the dry time was going to be the bane of my existence, but in a very surprising twist of events, the Essie Gel Couture line truly dries in basically no time.

It’s never been an issue for me and I’M HELLA IMPATIENT.

So I hope this is helpful for anyone struggling with the dry time of this line. I think going slow, doing a full round on both hands, and not laying on too thick of a layer is the full truth on how to make this dry within 10 min.

What I love the most is that any mistakes I made (or any nail polish left from the removal process, oops) will be washed away in the next shower or throughout the day as I wash my hands, WITHOUT running the risk of getting an allergy. You simply can’t beat Essie Gel Couture line, especially if you mainly do block colours 💅 🌸 by @bitsandbloem

Peeling nails are somewhat a rite of passage for nail care, where we try to figure out what’s causing it and ending up in frustration and disappointment. But if you come in with the right expectations, you might have a better time 🌸 so I hope this helps a bit 🫶

PS. Apparently I don’t close my eyes all the way sometimes 😬 that’s a creepy realisation, I’ll work on it!

It’s been a while since the last one I did and I wanted to test the longevity of a new top coat and see how well it does. I think 10 days is actually pretty solid considering that there was only 1 chip on the last day, and for the rest there was only minimal wear at the tips.

If you need to be convinced that regular nail polish can last a long time, let this be your sign!

I think this combo has made its way in the top 3 most favourite nails for me. I haven’t been able to stop staring at them for about and week now 😬

And I think I can also bring some good news for the top coat that I used here. So far, it’s lasting really well but I’d like to test it out a bit longer before making a claim.

This is not exactly a very requested trial but I did it for my own curiosity 😬 I wanted to see what the experience of wearing only Japanese nail polishes is like.

Maybe it was the fact that I combined them with the Essie base coat, maybe it’s just a different experience, but the dry times and chipping after 3 days don’t exactly make me want to reach for them very often 🥲

I’ll try again for sure, but not anytime soon, I need to recover from this intense betrayal haha I had much higher hopes 😩

Regular nail polish has been improving so much over the past few years and I think it deserves its moment again ✨

The public image of gel is so much better but regular nail polish can be so good for so many people’s needs - especially if you mostly do desk work like I do! by @bitsandbloem

This is exactly how I ruined so many of my cute nail polishes back in the day 😬

I’ve only recently learned WHY you’re not supposed to do that so I wanted to share it. I kept hearing that it’s not good but no-one ever explained why to me until I looked into it myself.
