We’ve spent a year building this. Tomorrow, we finally get to share it 💛

To everyone who carried boxes, taped cables and stayed until the lights went out: this one’s for you.
To everyone coming: welcome home.

“Don’t waste my time.”

That was the answer when Jordi Romero first offered low thousands of euros for factorial.com.
The domain belonged to a German guy who wasn’t doing anything with it.
Six years later, Jordi started the company Factorial anyway, and kept writing to him: around 200 emails plus LinkedIn messages, and no answer.
16 years after the first attempt, they finally got the domain, for 100x the original offer. His one-word lesson: perseverance.

We asked the spirit if Europe can become the most entrepreneurial continent. They said NO, so we asked Europe's founders and investors instead.

“I don’t type anymore.”

Eva Spannagl joined @openai more than a year ago, as part of the founding team in Munich.
Today, 90% of her work happens through voice and dictation mode: she just talks to Codex and ChatGPT.
That sparked some discussions in the office at first. Should people talk at their desks, or go into a phone booth? Now there are rules for that.

Does anyone still type at OpenAI? Eva Spannagl in conversation with @feliks and @pallipauu on our Bits & Pretzels 2026 Livestream 🥨

“In the harbour in Hamburg, they can just say: I don’t believe you.”

@fimbim wanted to build a new kind of e-mobility: a buggy for two people for €2,500, while a golf cart costs €10,000 to €12,000. In his mind, it was a new bicycle.
After a year and a half, the prototypes were ready and his producer had all the declarations. Then, in the harbour in Hamburg, he was told to prove everything: every cable, the brakes, the lights, even the LED inside the light. The prototypes were destroyed there, and hundreds of thousands of euros were gone. And with them, he says, the ambition to go further.

A story about building hardware, from our Bits & Pretzels 2026 Livestream with @feliks and @pallipauu 🥨
