I have too many poems that the world has never seen, and very few that I choose to share in smaller, intimate spaces. But this one best captures my realization that we’re each made for so much more.

This poem could also be interpreted as a eulogy—something traditionally given when remembering or honoring something that has been lost. While I know this type of connection still exists, from my perspective, it has become quite rare.

So, do you see others’ minds first before anything else?

If I could, I would 1000% do my study abroad experience in Cape Town all over again. I’ve always felt like the African continent is largely overlooked when considering travel destinations. I wanted to experience an afrosummer before I turned 20, and I’m blessed to say that I returned to the US with a full memory card 🥹 #studyabroad #capetown #southafrica by @bitter_colaa
