Mixing natural ochre pigment, sourced from and purchased at CriCri Boutique at Les plus belle villages de France into what I call clay milk.

Clay milk is white clay colour (comprised of: white clay, marble flour and starch) + water and left still in maceration for a day or two, depends on humidity of the room.

When thus adding the natural pigment into the thick smooth clay substance, you get a rich, natural, healthy toxic free wall paint which is best to apply over clay plasters.

To create clay milk, I used Nativa white clay colour, manufactured in Slovenia and purchased in Gnezdo, natural building center in Ljubljana.

The result is a beautiful toxic free peachy-golden colour shade which, combined with clay plasters (we used Bauwerk clay plaster), makes the room super breathable even in the hot summer days.

Observing the gorgeous refurbished the walls of the staircase area. I used natural lime colour without toxic binders. To get this subtle pink hew, I used Kreidezeit natural pigment and mixed it into pure lime colour. This reno is making me feel like an artist! 😃 I love it.

Do you have any experience with renovations? Let me know in the comments.

The texture of a natural stone.
The warmth of aged wood.
Beautifully crafted brass details.
Drapery of old linen.

Choose materials that will age beautifully.
Objects that carry meaning.

Tekstura naravnega kamna.
Toplina starega lesa.
Lepo oblikovani detajli iz medenine.
Draperija lanenega blaga.

Izbiraj materiale, ki bodo s časom postajali lepši.
Predmete, ki imajo pomen.

Interior styles that are calling us back to natural living & tradition. 🌿
Vernacular — rooted in place, shaped by climate, local materials and generations of knowledge.
Industrial Romanticism — the beauty of aged wood, raw stone, metal, patina and imperfect textures, softened by warmth and soul.
Quiet Luxury — not about excess, but about quality, craftsmanship, natural materials and things made to last.
Different expressions, but the same underlying desire:
to create homes that feel grounded, timeless and connected to nature.
Perhaps the future of interiors isn’t about what’s new —
but about rediscovering what we already knew. 🤍
Which one speaks to you most?
—
Interierni slogi, ki nas vračajo k naravnemu bivanju in tradiciji. 🌿
Vernakularni slog — povezan s prostorom, podnebjem, lokalnimi materiali in znanjem generacij.
Industrijski romantizem — lepota starega lesa, surovega kamna, kovine, patine in nepopolnih tekstur, omehčana s toplino in dušo.
Tihi luksuz — ne kot razkošje, temveč kot kakovost, rokodelstvo, naravni materiali in stvari, ustvarjene, da trajajo.
Različni izrazi, a ista želja:
ustvariti dom, ki je prizemljen, brezčasen in povezan z naravo.
Morda prihodnost interierjev ni v tem, kaj je novega —
ampak v ponovnem odkrivanju tega, kar smo nekoč že znali. 🤍

Before you build, learn what you’re building with. 🌿
Natural materials aren’t a trend.

Wood, stone, clay, lime, natural fibres — each material has its own properties, texture, ageing process and relationship with the environment. They hold the intelligence of our planet at hand and radiate it into your home.

Build with intention.

Preden začnete graditi, spoznajte materiale, ki jih lahko uporabite. 🌿
Naravni materiali niso zgolj trend.

Les, kamen, glina, apno, naravna vlakna – vsak material ima svoje lastnosti, teksturo, način staranja in odnos do okolja. V sebi nosijo modrost našega planeta in jo sevajo v vaš dom.

Gradite z namenom.

Money can’t buy you happiness.
But it can buy you a naturally built home…
and that’s pretty close. 🌿
Natural materials. Slow living. A home that feels good to come back to.

Denar ne more kupiti sreče.
Lahko pa kupi naravno grajen dom …
in to je že precej blizu. 🌿
Naravni materiali. Počasnejši način bivanja. Dom, v katerega se je lepo vračati.

Tadelakt, tradicionalni maroški mineralni omet — mehkoba kamna, toplina ometa in lepota nepopolnosti.
Naravna površina, ki prostoru podari tišino.

Tadelakt, traditional Morrocan mineral plaster — the softness of stone, the warmth of plaster, the beauty of imperfection.
A natural surface that brings quiet to a space.
