We exist to support BIPOC Women in Newfoundland and Labrador with the community, network and resources needed to thrive socio-economically.

Being a BIPOC woman comes with a kind of strength that many people don’t fully understand. Because for a lot of us, we often face hurdles that aren’t always visible to others.

Sometimes it’s the lack of access, lack of networks. Other times, it is the feeling that no matter how qualified, how capable, or how prepared we are, the door still doesn’t open.
And what makes it even harder is that these challenges don’t always come with a clear solution.

Because it’s not just about working harder, it’s about having the right support, the right people, and the right opportunities.

BIWON NL was created to support BIPOC women as they navigate life in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our aim is to make thriving possible.

We are building a community where BIPOC women don’t just survive, but grow. A community where women can access resources, mentorship, opportunities, and real support.
Where our voices are heard, our experiences are validated, and where we are equipped to step fully into our potential.

We believe that BIPOC women deserve more than encouragement. We deserve access, space, and visibility.

We deserve community.
