THANK YOU! @florida.blue and the @tblightning for joined forces for the 5th Annual “Strike the Stigma” Symposium for teens at @benchmarkintlarena @tampa

Special thanks to Phillip Lee, Brandon Hudspeth, MBA, and Tina James of Florida Blue for the invitation to speak and support!

Aswell as Eizabeth Frazier and Will Kent from the Tampa Bay Lightning for their partnership and support of this event.

The one-day symposium engaged more than 350 students and teachers from area high schools in @hillsboroughsch , @pinellascountyschools , and Pasco, providing students with the tools and resources to help their mental well-being flourish through workshops, therapy dogs and horses.

A big thank you to @hillsboroughsch Schools Board Superintendent Van Ayres and Hillsborough County School Board member Lynn Gray.

The facts are jarring: •High school students with depression are more than 2x more likely to drop out than their peers.•Increase in the percentage of students who were bullied at school (15% to 19%), per the CDC.•Increase in the percentage of students who missed school because of safety concerns either at school or on the way to school (9% to 13%), per the CDC.•64.2% of Floridians aged 12–17 who have depression did not receive any care in 2022.The goal of Strike the Stigma is to provide solutions that can be utilized to achieve positive, sustainable results on the overall mental well-being of the Tampa Bay community and synchs perfectly with our mission to help people and communities achieve better health.

A Continued Thanks to community Leaders like: @namipinellas , @ibishealthcare Healthcare, Tampa Bay Thrives, Directions for Living, @crisiscenteroftampabay, @frameworksoftampabay of Tampa Bay, @myfaitherapy, @tghcares Hospital, @pdqfreshfood. @evarahealth by @bj.daniels5

A special thank you to JeKobi Brown, Clearwater High School senior and football player, for your kind words and support of our inaugural Mind Shift event! Your voice, encouragement, and willingness to be part of this important conversation mean a great deal.

JeKobi, I’m wishing you and your teammates a successful season, continued growth, and nothing but the best as you pursue your college opportunities and future dreams. Keep working hard, believing in yourself, and remembering that your future extends far beyond the football field.

The goal is to win on the field, but more importantly, to win in life. Keep striving, stay focused, and never stop chasing your dreams. The best is yet to come! 💪🏈 @clearwater_football @clearwatertornadoes by @bj.daniels5

PINELLAS PARK, FL (October 9, 2026) – Being strong means knowing when to ask for help — a message shared with hundreds of Pinellas County Schools student-athletes Friday at the 2nd Annual Mind Shift Youth Behavioral Health Summit. Football players heard from former athletes and health professionals about handling pressure, building resilience, and understanding that their identity extends far beyond their performance on the field.

Powered by Evara Health in partnership with Pinellas County Schools (PCS), and the Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB), the summit brought together players and coaches from Boca Ciega, Clearwater, Gibbs, Hollins, Largo, and Osceola high schools. Participation grew from four schools last year to six this year, allowing even more students to take part in honest conversations about mental health and well-being.

“Student-athletes are often taught to push through physical pain and pressures, but mental health deserves that same level of attention and care,” said Becky Albert, Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County. “When teens have trusted adults and the right resources around them, they are better equipped to recognize when they are struggling and know who to go to for support.”

BJ Daniels, Evara Health’s Manager of Strategic Growth and Partnerships, former University of South Florida standout, and NFL Super Bowl champion led the summit. Daniels shared lessons from his own athletic career and personal experiences, emphasizing that success is not defined by wins, losses, or statistics.

“Athletes can feel like they have to be tough all the time – like admitting that something is bothering you is a sign of weakness,” Daniels said. “But asking for help doesn’t make you less of an athlete. It gives you the confidence to face difficult things, take care of yourself, and be there for the people counting on you.” by @bj.daniels5

Who’s in your locker room? 🏈

The people around you matter. Your mentors, friends, family members, coaches, and trusted supporters can influence how you think, how you handle adversity, and how you grow.

In this powerful moment from Mental Health Moment with Dr. Hammond, @bj.daniels5 reminds us to be intentional about who we allow into that space.

Take a look at your “locker room.” Are the people in it helping you rise?

The Vision

One family. Every nation. One standard.
The Gathering is the annual international conference of World Assemblies Fellowship International — a global family of churches and leaders coming together for worship, the Word, and the work of building what comes next.

Each year, pastors, leaders, families, and friends from across the nations gather for days of preaching, teaching, impartation, and fellowship — raising the standard in every generation.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
