A little bit of what I’ve been working on in the background.

Over the past few years, I’ve been working through my coaching qualifications alongside playing professionally.

A big thank you to Melbourne Victory for giving me the opportunity to gain experience within the academy, particularly as an assistant coach with the U23s over the past two seasons.

I’ve really enjoyed the experience and learning more about the game from the coaching side.

It’s been great to get a different perspective of the game and continue developing my knowledge away from the playing side. ⚽️

Brendan Hamill is staying at Melbourne Victory after signing a new contract for the 2026–27 A-League season ✍️

The experienced centre-back, who joined Victory in 2021, will remain with the club under new head coach Giovanni Savarese. Hamill returned from an ACL injury in the final round of the 2025–26 regular season after missing the majority of the campaign.

Great to have @gomvfc’s @bj_hamill come in at the backend of the year to OSVi ⚽️

Completing change of direction testing with our biomechanics team as part of his return from injury, helping guide a safe and confident return to performance.

Look forward to Brendan hitting the field soon 💚
