Every Thursday until the No-Gi Europeans we now host a No-Gi class instead of the advanced Gi class.

And from 7–11 October we’re running a No-Gi Competition Camp. 8 sessions over 5 days, built around competition: situational rounds, the IBJJF no-gi rules and how to plan a match.

Swipe to see the full roadmap to the No-Gi Europeans ➡️

Performance at Versus No-Gi Intermediate. Not the results I came for, on to the next one.

I want to thank my coaches, and teammates who helped me get ready for the competition.

Masters Worlds, featherweight silver.

I didn't want to compete in featherweight.

Until last week I was cutting down to light feather. Then I reached a point where it wasn't physically safe anymore to continue, so I decided to move up a division.

It wasn't an easy decision, and one that was really hard to accept for me.

But I realised that acceptance doesn't mean you're happy about what happened. It's just stopping the argument with reality and focusing on what's next.

I'll never know what would've happened if I'd made weight for light feather. And there's a particular kind of grief not getting to find out.

What I do know, is it takes a certain mindset to see your plans fall apart, feel the disappointment and still give your best.

And I'm proud I did that for me 🤍

For 12 years, we’ve celebrated our anniversary the best way we know how, with our annual Summer Grading party. This year’s celebration was extra special as we promoted our 9th and 10th black belts! 🖤

We also promoted many other well-deserving coloured belts, congratulations to all of you!

After the grading, we came together for food, drinks, and a well-earned celebration.

Thank you to everyone who makes BJJAA feel like a second home. Here’s to 12 amazing years, and many more to come✨
