Third time around at Creatives’ Closet Sale this 17th & 18th of October. I’m opening my closet again and letting go of a curated selection of pieces I’ve collected over the years, from Manila designer friends I’ve grown alongside, favorite Thai brands I’ve discovered since making Bangkok home, and a few international designers that have found their way into my wardrobe. #TOWNHOUSEFashion saw @ninaamoncio present “Not Here,” Antonina’s first full collection since the label debuted in 2018. Among fields of dried grass, broad-shouldered ivory suits, quilted dresses, and wide trousers established a new severity. Softness followed in one-shouldered volumes, pale pink paillettes, and sheer shirts embroidered with black flowers. The familiar romance remained, stripped of fuss and given room to breathe. This pause offered Antonina the freedom to reconsider her instincts and change course.

#TOWNHOUSEFashion watched @proudrace close this year’s @mnlfashion.week with “Kukur.” Taken from kukurtinahin, the Filipino slang is used when something odd catches the eye. Few titles could suit Proudrace better. For more than fifteen years, the house has built its signatures from deconstruction, hybrid fabrics, oversized proportions, raw finishes, and irreverent graphics. Striped jerseys were spliced into long dresses. Work jackets returned as patchwork. Horses galloped across cream trousers, joined by embroidered cloth, cutouts, fringe, and an enormous market bag. More than fifteen years on, the odd still catches the eye.

#TOWNHOUSEFashion witnessed @nicoloperez enter a “Flow State,” turning the myths of Sisyphus, Narcissus, and Icarus into a study of creativity, ego, and the relentless pursuit of achievement. Workwear arrived in cobalt, burnt orange, and sun-bleached neutrals, shaped through curved panels, oversized utility pockets, rope fastenings, and flashes of transparency. The house’s signature bird migrated across denim as appliqué, embroidery, and graphic abstraction. A collection for those compelled to keep creating, even when ambition flies dangerously close to the sun.

#TOWNHOUSEFashion entered “The Waiting Room” by @randolfclothing. Four days separated the death of Randolf’s grandfather from the birth of his niece, a cruel and beautiful turn of timing that shaped the show. But grief came in full colour. Bridal lace met track jackets; hand-drawn angels and flowers covered loose tailoring; photographs sat inside bright tulle frames; long veils followed behind. The familiar Randolf wit remained, now made tender by loss. A wardrobe suspended between departure and arrival.

#TOWNHOUSEFashion watched @lorico_official transform the runway with mountains of salt, erasing the ballroom floor and giving every step a sense of resistance. Black, midnight blue, and mineral grey appeared in pleated wraps, elongated tailoring, dense knits, and strips of fabric dragged across the ground. The palette was austere, but the surfaces were alive, catching the light through fine pinstripes, crumpled textures, and glossy panels. Lorico built a new world from two of the oldest forces we know.
