A party it was!

Yesterday was a BLAST.

We are so grateful for the Napa community! We were able to knock out 27 tattoos (42 of them were the goldfish)—all to support @rippleeffectanimalprojectnapa

We’re trying something different and introducing a monthly(ish) playlist to give you a small insight into the varied tastes of the artists of House Plant Tattoo. First up for August is a playlist curated by Bryan @bjptattoos, who had this to say about his choices:
“This is a collection of songs ranging from prog, to folk, psych, new age and minimalist synthesizer music. In an age of Chat GPT and the need for instant answers, I think back to a time when a group of burgeoning artists had to come up with their own conclusions to life’s questions. This selection of music reflects a time post-Woodstock, where artists were more concerned with pure expression over commercial acceptance. New influences of religion and philosophy, bolstered by the psychedelic and Peace movements created a range of consciousness exploration through music you will find represented here. You will hear the Eastern scales found in the guitar work of Popol Vuh (frequent collaborators with filmmaker Werner Herzog), the sincere and lilting voice of Sally Oldfield (who is also featured on the penultimate track Shadow of the Hierophant), the quiet introspection of Robbie Basho, culminating in the 20 min astral trip of “Night Dust.” This playlist is dedicated as much to the seeker as the individual who is content with never having all the pieces of the puzzle of life.
