🚨Big step for 81Hz.🚨

We just launched Founding Signal, 81Hz’s first community seed-funding effort.

The campaign will help support the next stage of Creative Systems R&D + Publishing, including research tools and equipment, publishing infrastructure, production development, and continued work toward Motion Systems—81Hz’s first planned publication, exploring how music moves, changes, and responds over time through a Hip-Hop production lens.

A lot of work has already gone into getting 81Hz to this point, and now we’re opening the door for others who connect with the vision to help support what comes next.

If it resonates with you, contribute if you can or simply share the link. Both help. Thank you.

THE FREQUENCY IS THE VIBE. 📡

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

What started as a casual family get-together quickly turned into a full-blown crime scene.

Neighbors reported hearing music before a series of rapid “gunshots” rang out, prompting calls to authorities.

Police are questioning a suspect known only as BKboy541, who insists he acted in self-defense.

“My nephew found my semi-auto blaster and started shooting. I had to run upstairs and grab another one,” BKboy541 told investigators.

Authorities say the nephew eventually dropped his blaster, but a second suspect, known only as “Mumz,” continued the attack without hesitation.

Both suspects were last seen fleeing the scene in a black SUV before officers arrived.

Investigators recovered multiple foam darts at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and police confirmed this was an incident involving foam dart blasters.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mumz or the unnamed juvenile suspect is asked to contact the BKboy541 Family Investigation Unit immediately.

This is an active investigation.

Before social media, before group chats, before adulthood…

My cousins were my first friends.

We played outside until the streetlights came on. Now we rock until the wheels fall off.

Happy Birthday to my cousin, my friend, my life coach, and my drinking partner.

We’ve shared laughs, life lessons, stories, and more than a few drinks along the way.

Tonight’s toast is a homemade sorrel, hibiscus & ginger iced tea with a splash of nahmean.

Love you till the end of time.

Cheers. 🥂❤️ by @bkboy541

Being from NYC, this Knicks championship means something different.

It’s one of the few moments I’ve seen this many New Yorkers unite around something purely positive. We’ve shared the pain of 9/11, lived through the infamous blackout of 2003, Hurricane Sandy, weathered recessions, rent hikes, inflation, and countless moments that tested the soul of Gotham.

But after this championship, the city felt lighter. At least I did.

The inward smile turned into a slight grin whenever I saw people proudly wearing their Knicks gear. The reciprocal head nod from someone rocking an Ewing, King, or Reed jersey.

No words needed. Just an understanding between generations that remembered, waited, and believed.

Maybe we were finally given a moment to exhale. A moment to let go and lower our New York City guards.

This time, we didn’t stand together because we had to endure—we stood together because we got a chance to celebrate.

My son, single digit in years, won’t have to carry decades of waiting, hoping, coaching through the TV, heartbreak, and near misses. He gets to grow up knowing what so many generations spent years believing was possible.

This team felt like New York. Players from different backgrounds and journeys came together behind one goal, displaying the grit, determination, and resilience it takes to win in Gotham.

Seeing Alvarado and Clarkson celebrating at the Puerto Rican Day Parade on Knickerbocker Ave., close to home, made the mystique feel even more real.

The most New York moment came after the celebration. The city cheered the sanitation workers—a group that often does a thankless job but represents the same grit and pride we celebrate in our athletes.

I walked to City Hall to see if the banners were still up. You could barely tell what had taken place.

And somehow, that said everything.

New York shows up, makes history, cleans up, then gets ready for tomorrow’s grind.

Celebrate, New York. You earned it.

I’ve seen this city struggle.

I’ve seen it hurt.

I’ve seen it survive.

And for one brief moment, I got to see it celebrate.

Orange and blue skies.
