15 or so years ago, @yoga.farmer.steve told me about this wild & magical thing that happens in the desert. Steve’s always been so good at finding the coolest things and sharing them with the people in his life. From that moment, I knew I had to make it there one day. I never saw a road in. I kept saying next year, next year and before I knew it 15 years flew by. Last night at yoga, Cheryl said, you’re ready now. You’re always ready. Start unsure, start scared, but start. Wherever you are, just start. What you seek is seeking you. Something in me decided that this was the year no matter what, and with that, the doors started opening. There’s an energy in intention that moves things. You’ll be surprised in the way the Universe will move with you once you have decided. The people you need will show up on your path once you start walking it. Trust that. The people that are for you, will find you. Know that. @marisattaglia I am eternally grateful for your presence in my life and in every lifetime to come. I’ll be gone for a bit, but our BKC Fam will be stepping in and stepping up, as they do, to take care of everything. Come visit @meaghanted Saturday Aug 26 for the @elmwoodvillageartfest she’ll be hanging in the BKC tent right in front of @thebeerkeep Sunday @ashkir131 will be taking over the BKC tent for the arts fest. Pop down and say hi to her. Check out all the new Fall stuff that’s been rolling in. @yogijosh_ will be holding down the fort at BKC Homebase starting Tuesday Aug 29 from 12-3. Josh will be in the house everyday except Mondays from 12-3. Stop by and hang with him. We’ll be serving mushroom coffee samples from Josh’s company @thisislifeitself everyday. Any web orders will begin shipping out when I get back second week of September. If you wanna grab something sooner, you can always use the PICKUP code at checkout on bkindcity.com to grab something off the site and pick it up in store. That code will take the shipping off. I don’t really know what to say yet. I think that will come when my mind has space to process it all. I’m sitting in Reno, quietly in awe. The power of the desert, the resilience of Burners and the wild connected consciousness of this place. I walked in looking for transformation, expecting it to be hard, expecting the breakdowns, expecting the beauty. Knowing the connection to this place and to myself would unveil the next layer of me. There are things that happened out here that I can’t explain to you. Things that had to be orchestrated from another place entirely. If there was any question in my mind that we create worlds with our thoughts, I can say with absolute certainty that I know now, first hand, that we do. Be so careful with your mind. Thoughts create things. We manifest into reality what we think about —and depending on where we’re at, it can happen in the blink of an eye. What a beautiful power to have —if we use it intentionally. This place is the great mirror. I walked in ready to meet the parts of myself I’ve been hiding from for so long. I saw what I needed to see, because I was finally willing to look. This place brought me to my knees, and I am so grateful for it. by @bkindcity

Sometimes it feels like we’re stuck. Like we’re in this perpetual holding pattern, waiting to get to the next part. The good part. The part where everything *really* starts for us. That our life is somehow on hold. That if we can just get to whatever’s coming next, everything will fall into place and we’ll be ok. But what if you didn’t have to wait? What if the things that you swore were giving you comfort and security were the very things standing in the way of the life you wanted? Could you release them? Could you trust yourself enough to know that you’ll figure it out? Could you trust the Universe enough to know that everything is working for you? You just need to decide *what* it is you truly want. I saw something yesterday that said, “what if your best, happiest, most honest life looked nothing like you imagined. Would you have the balls to live it?”✨🌏 by @bkindcity

Last night Chantelle sent me a reel that permanently altered the way I see dating, relationships and life itself. It was like this instant click that made everything feel so much lighter and I woke up this morning with a mindset that’s 180 degrees different than it was yesterday. You never know how the little things you share with your friends can change something inside of them. If you have something that did that for you however big or small it may feel, share it.
