What a groovy day giving back to our community! 📸✨ Had an absolute blast with the incredible Concord Photography and Videography Group yesterday at Flywheel Coworking, providing FREE professional headshots to our amazing community members. There’s nothing quite like combining our passion for capturing people’s best selves with the joy of giving back. The energy was contagious, the learning never stopped, and this fantastic group reminded us once again why we love what we do. Every session brought new connections, genuine smiles, and that special magic that happens when creativity meets community spirit. Keep an eye on your inbox! If you don’t see your headshots by Thursday, August 28th, slide into our DMs and we’ll make sure you get them. Thank you to everyone who participated and to our photography family for making this day so special. This is what community looks like! 🙌 #BeGroovy #CommunityFirst #FreeHeadshots #ConcordPhotography #GivingBack #ProfessionalPhotography #CommunityService #PhotoshootFun #HeadshotSession #LocalPhotographers #FlywheelCoworking by @bklynborn81

I got bored and played with some old photos. Made me miss the groups of IGers going out and shooting, talking sh!t about each other cameras because they were different brands and shaking our heads at non-photogs who just don’t get it. I’ve met some great photogs that are great people. When it’s safest to travel, I hope to link up with them again and meet some new people soon. --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Architecture/ Sunrise/ Composite --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 Tripod: Gitzo 1555T Filter: None --------------------------------------------------------- by @bklynborn81
I am not going on the subway anytime soon, so I shoot what I can reach in walking distance. By the time I got to the bridge, the sun was pretty low in the sky, so I shot it through the bridges legs while I was stalking that sailboat you probably didn’t see. --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Urban Sunset/Telephoto --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: Fujinon x1.4 Teleconverter Lens: Fujinon 100-400 F4.5-5.6 Tripod: Gitzo 3542L Filter: None #nycprimeshot #loves_nyc #newyork_instagram #ig_unitedstates #visualambassadors #timeoutnewyork #citykillerz #nycprimeshot #rsa_streetview #bevisuallyinspired #beautifuldestinations #moodygrams #wayfarecollective #undiscover_io #serialshooters #citybestviews #what_i_saw_in_nyc #reflection_perfection #beautifuldestinations #usaprimeshot #bestplacestogo #illgrammers #citygrammers #way2ill #spacewheel #sunset_vision #agameoftones #undiscovermycity #undiscover #travelingthroughtheworld by @bklynborn81
I have waited almost a year to try out an infrared filter that gives me reddish leaves in camera for almost a year. I was wondering the other day if I should take it for a test spin and once @bkmargaret posted how good the weather was in my hood, I grabbed my camera and went out, avoiding as many people as possible. I’ve always seen this obelisk in my neighborhood and wanted to get a shot of the whole thing, so I guess this is a two birds/one stone scenario. Also, I’ve not seen any Infrared HDR Panoramas so I’m claiming this as a first!!! --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Architecture Infrared HDR Panorama --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 (converted) Adaptor: None Lens: Zeiss Touit 12mm F2.8 Tripod: Gitzo 1555T Filter: IR Chrome Infrared #ig_unitedstates #nycprimeshot #illgrammers #murderdotcom #visualambassadors #timeoutnewyork #citykillerz #nycprimeshot #rsa_streetview #bevisuallyinspired #beautifuldestinations #moodygrams #wayfarecollective #undiscover_io #serialshooters #citybestviews #milliondollarvisuals #fujifilmx_us #beautifuldestinations #usaprimeshot #bestplacestogo #illgrammers #citygrammers #way2ill #spacewheel #gramslayers #agameoftones #undiscovermycity #undiscover196 #travelingthroughtheworld by @bklynborn81

SWIPE LEFT: Caught a great sunset, which I haven’t done in a while. Watching the sunset behind the Manhattan Bridge, I was hoping to get a little flare from the sun. I was not expecting a double flare though! --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Architecture/Long Exposure/Time Lapse --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 10-24 F4 Tripod: Gitzo 1555T Filter: B+W 10 Stop ND #ig_unitedstates #nycprimeshot #illgrammers #murderdotcom #visualambassadors #timeoutnewyork #citykillerz #nycprimeshot #rsa_streetview #bevisuallyinspired #beautifuldestinations #moodygrams #wayfarecollective #undiscover_io #serialshooters #citybestviews #milliondollarvisuals #fujifilmx_us #beautifuldestinations #usaprimeshot #bestplacestogo #illgrammers #citygrammers #way2ill #spacewheel #gramslayers #agameoftones #undiscovermycity #undiscover196 #travelingthroughtheworld @hypebeast @beautifuldestinations @highsnobiety @loves_nyc by @bklynborn81
SWIPE LEFT: So this portrait was a happy accident. I was shooting in @westsideloft with a few photogs and their trigger set off my light right before I got my shot and one of three lights didn’t go off in my shot. It made a huge difference (as you can see if you swipe) but I actually like this dark, moody portrait. Big thanks to @trevorbell for coming out to @westsideloft for a shoot. Lighting setup : 2 strip bank opposite each other and a large octabank from above. All gridded! --------------------------------------------------------- Photographer: @bklynborn81 Model: @trevorbell --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Studio Portraiture --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T2 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 23mm F1.4 Tripod: None Filter: None by @bklynborn81
I was invited to @riverparkbrooklyn by @weareoptimist and forced myself to bring all my lenses with me which I usually don’t don’t do but should be doing more often. When I got there, @captiv_8 pointed out that places pass through the sun and my long lens was the best bet at catching it. I did catch the plane in the sun as the sun was setting but also caught them separately and I liked the composite better but hesitated on posting it. I don’t usually shoot minimalistic shots but I kept looking at this shot and still really liked it. Lesson: I gotta stop staying in my comfort zone. --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Sunset / Minimalism / Composite --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 100-400mm F4.5 - 5.6 Tripod: None Filter: None by @bklynborn81
Using a telephoto lens made this trail seem really small to me. It didn’t occur to me how long this trail was until I realized the three shapes at the top of the zig zag trail were hikers! Did you even notice them before you read this? --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Sunrise/ Telephoto --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 Tripod: None Filter: None by @bklynborn81
Gotta say thanks to @weareoptimist for organizing the Revo/Brookfield Place event! I had been trying to get the entire Oculus in one shot for a while. Down on the ground it’s a bit difficult but from up above, it was a cinch! I waited for it to get dark so I could get that ethereal glow from the lights and I wasn’t disappointed! --------------------------------------------------------- Photo and edit: @bklynborn81 --------------------------------------------------------- Media Type: Architecture/Night --------------------------------------------------------- Camera: FujiFilm X-T3 Adaptor: None Lens: Fujinon 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 Tripod: Gitzo Traveller 1555T Filter: None by @bklynborn81
