I wish my morning matcha ritual came with this soundtrack... and water & sugar magically falling from the sky 😂🍵
Till then, these handmade matcha bowl + cup sets are in the shop now! Who knows... maybe the sugar will fall out of the sky for you instead. 😉

There’s something captivating about trying to trap the feeling of the ocean in clay. These new sculptural vases feature a raw sandy exterior surrounding a deep, glossy interior that reminds me of looking into a tide pool or the depths of the sea.
I love the contrast between the calm, matte surface and the wild movement happening inside. Every opening breaks differently, making each piece completely one of a kind—like discovering a hidden cove carved by the waves.
Still experimenting, still chasing that feeling of standing by the water.

As much as I love experimenting with wild glaze combinations, there’s something endlessly captivating about keeping things simple.
A refined gloss black layered over a textured matte black surface just hits differently. The contrast catches the light in all the right places, highlighting every curve and throwing mark without competing for attention.
Sometimes less really is more, and I keep finding myself coming back to this combination. It’s understated, timeless, and somehow feels both modern and ancient at the same time. by @bkpotteryguy

Rainy day shoot for the new buff stoneware fruit bowl in Malibu Blue. 🌊
This piece really sums up my first drive along the Pacific Coast Highway in California. I loved every second of that trip, and I think I’ve finally found a clay and glaze combination that brings me right back there every day.
Funny how a place can stay with you, and even funnier how sometimes you find a way to capture that feeling in clay. 💙
