HUGE congratulations to @melodic1 @lizkiger @operaatlantic and our entire team @matthewkylelevine @whylucywhy @helena.lusskin.soprano @samn.johnson.
It’s great to see opera and classical music represented among the new indie short films 🎥❤️ We will continue to be pushing the boundaries of classical music’s audience and what we can do with this amazing genre of music with more projects to come. 🥰

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing an indefinite postponement to our November Ulisses production due to outside circumstances beyond our control. We are hopeful to revive this show with the same star-studded cast in Spring 2027.
Thank you to everyone involved for their understanding and patience as we move forward with our season. 🙏🏼❤️ by @bktelemann

BTCS is excited to be coproducing Persephone: A Garden Between Worlds with Pomegranate Productions @persephoneimmersive & Noo Arts @nooarts_org .

This play, the brainchild of executive producer & creative director of Pomegranate Productions @abeamychang, written by @so.young.hwang, is a sapphic retelling and an immersive descent into the world of Persephone — a half-mile sonic journey with dancers, puppets, and other strange encounters in a fantastical outdoor location in Greenpoint. Newtown Creek has been a site of industrialization, a Superfund designation by the EPA, and most recently, a dumping ground for a serial killer. In this production, Newtown Creek serves as the Underworld’s River Styx. This site-specific play was created to highlight the tradeoffs that we make between environmental efforts and commercial interests.

Tickets are available at eventbrite.com via “Persephone A Garden Between Worlds”

This show features sound design by Greg Boro featuring additional composer Megan Hubel, costumes by Brandon Liu, set design by Michelle Sheu, Brian Nguyen, Audrey Wong, Cat Le, Yi Li, stage directing by Liz Kiger @lizkiger, with fundraising by Sandra Plamondon, David Christian, & Kit Lea Chang. by @bktelemann
