Five years ago, I started a party called 79FM.

For those who don’t know, 79 is the atomic number of gold. So technically, 79FM has always been GoldFM.(iykyk)

I wanted to create the kind of night I always wished existed. A space dedicated to R&B, Neo Soul, deep cuts, new discoveries, and the artists that meant something to me.

Spot Lite Detroit gave me the opportunity to bring that vision to life. Over the last five years, we’ve built something I never could’ve imagined.

Y’all trusted the process, the music i presented , the experience, and the vision enough to spend your Wednesday nights with me. Together, we turned EVERY SECOND Wednesdays into nights that felt like Fridays and Saturdays up in that thang 😆😂

More than anything, I wanted to create a space where Black music was the main event, not the side room. A place where our culture, our artists, and our stories were celebrated every single month. So Seeing so many Black people come together around that idea is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’ve watched friendships form, relationships begin, and countless memories made in that room.

When I had my accident in 2024, this community showed up for me in ways I’ll never forget. Spot Lite never had to do that, but they did. That’s what made this place special.

It’s heartbreaking to see this chapter come to an end at spotlite but it also reminds me that nothing lasts forever.

79FM isn’t going anywhere.

We’ll be taking this experience to different venues while we search for a new home. And truthfully, maybe that’s exactly what I needed. I’ve built something beautiful here in Detroit, but it’s time for me to stop getting comfortable and start taking 79FM beyond the city.

To everyone at @spotlitedetroit , thank you for everything

S/o EVERYONE who came to the spotlite finale.

This isn’t the end of 79FM.

Little Brother Curtain Call Tour Recap
Side - A (Part 1)

First I gotta thank my brothers of Little Brother @phontigallo and @rapperbigpooh for trusting me and bringing me along for something special. Letting me be part of this, letting me lead, letting me move with y’all and really see how this shit is done meant everything to me.

This tour was one of the best times of my life. City after city. Stories after stories so many people ,so many moments, so many connections. It was fun but it was also deep and impactful in ways I’m still unpacking. I’m honestly still kind of lost for words trying to explain how much it did for me.

Being on the road and watching how these guys move showed me the blueprint firsthand. Traveling, performing, nigga TRULY living in the music. Once you see that life up close, you can’t unsee it. It changes you. I feel like there’s no going backwards after this. Only forward and even further.

I’m excited to take everything I learned from this experience and apply it to my own journey when I’m out there on my own. But it’s forever LB. Always family. Always love.

First day party at @spotlitedetroit and the energy from start to finish was unreal. A room full of beautiful people, with the love and presence of Black culture felt heavy all day.
