Making pottery on a rainy day. Getting over a cold and the. Old medicine kicked in so here I am.
I used to throw for the public at Red Wing Pottery years ago. I found kids had the best questions. They really saw and asked probing questions. One asked about our damp box and what it was used for. I enjoyed it but people wear me out
Anyway we’ve pottery for sale at out booth, 634 at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Open this weekend and two others plus festival Friday

Hear ye. An in person only item that you can buy and own forever. While supplies last
Week two at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival begins today. Come find this rebel loon tankard and other completely hand made pottery. Minnesota made too.
This tankard is made from local suppliers Continental Clay (mod fire white clay) and Minnesota Clay (speckled white glaze and a studio black glaze). Come find us at booth 634 across from the Children’s realm. No AI 3D slop. No ‘dynamic pricing’. No subscription fee. No billionaires needed/wanted
A portion of the sale of these will go to support opendoor-pantry.org. A food outreach organization to feed people in Dakota County MN. For the good of all

Over the winter I watch TV and play video games. Last year my son and I liked playing Manor Lords on and off
I realized I have a Burgage Plot with a shop extension in game terms
A lot relevant ideas and tips ‘start small’ ‘be very careful with finite resources’ ‘don’t build more than you need’ ‘deal with bandits as they arrive’
Anyway. I make things by hand. If you like them buy them. I don’t do filters, AI, photoshop, bait and switch, dynamic pricing. I put a price on a pot in my shop. I’ve a shelf for items that don’t sell so well. It happens
Opening the doors to booth 634 at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in 8 days. Rain or shine
Cheers
