Explore Belize 🇧🇿. @bspeezy & @l__fogle are #blackandabroad at Xuantunich in Belize. Xunantunich was a major Mayan city during the Classic period (250-900 AD), reaching its peak between 700 and 900 AD. It served as an important ceremonial and political center. Xunantunich was abandoned around 1000 AD, for reasons that are still unknown. It was rediscovered in the late 19th century and has since been excavated and restored. Have you been before?
