I’ve been waiting for 5 years for this.
As a proud owner of the Blackbox HG-2, knowing that this was coming for 5 years and trying to keep my mouth shut about it was quite a task.
When @ericjracy from @blackboxanalog told me about this 5 years ago I could only wait patiently for it.
And it didn’t disappoint.
Tubes and hardware STILL make a difference.

This is an insanely exciting week at Black Box!

After more than seven years since the initial concept, the first production HG-Qs have come to life!

Over the next few weeks, the first production run will make its way through assembly, burn in, calibration and rigorous testing before heading out into the world.

Getting here has been nothing short of an epic feat and although it’s taken longer than we could ever have expected, the result is something we couldn’t have imagined at the start.

Tireless efforts from @blackwatchsound have resulted in one of the most beautifully engineered pieces of gear I’ve ever seen and our friends and partners at @brainworxaudio have helped make our shared vision of bringing pure analog audio into a modern workflow possible. by @blackboxanalog
