A week ago a bunch of us took on the @black_sheep_events 50km Coastal Rush, and it did NOT disappoint.

Camping and cans before and after, amazing scenery the whole way down the coast, a few frisky bullocks, and aid stations packed with goodies and friendly faces! Few of us ticking off and smashing their first ultras ✔️

𝟬𝟭.𝟬𝟱.𝟮𝟲 - 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝟯𝟬

A decent sized group of us from the Black Cloak Runners took part in their backyard challenge, Thirsty 30. Thefirst one since Covid. 5 miles every 4th Hour for 24 hours

Run 1 - 8pm - felt optimistic, although it was warm and full of flys

Run 2 - 12am - Didn’t sleep to this one still running on adrenaline, nice cool breeze helped with this one too.

Run 3 - 4am - around 1 hour broken sleep still felt strong

Run 4 - 8am - again around 1 hour broken sleep but new there was a good breakfast waiting for me in Conwy

Run 5 - 12pm - this was the one that almost finished me. After 2 miles I was feeling the pain, lack of sleep and just needing a shower

Run 6 - 4pm - rested again for a hour got myself a shower clean clothes and met up with the team, just had to get this one done then it was beer o clock

Then was time to sink those beers have some good laughs and some pizza, which I think finished us all off.

Would I do it again 100%, really pushed myself with the most I’ve ran consecutive in 24 hours but most importantly we raised an incredible amount for a great cause!

The one you’ve been waiting for - BEER2BEER is back.

You know the drill — chill miles, great beer, and even better company.

We’re taking on the OG 10km route, with refreshments available along the way.

A few things to remember:
* The BEER2BEER is a social run, not a race.
* It’s about friends, miles, laughs, and supporting the local businesses we’re lucky to have.
* New faces always welcome — just no dicks or boneheads, please!

THIRSTY30 ‘26

What a 24 hours that was.

Starting at 8pm on Friday night, it was 5 miles every 4 hours, all the way through to a mega team effort to finish at 4pm on Saturday. Plenty of absolute heroes putting in mile after mile for an incredible cause—raising money for the Cuddles Neonatal Unit in Glan Clwyd.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, everyone who supported along the way, the Black Cloak Taproom, and every single runner who took part. What a club 🖤

Finished off the only way possible: loads of pints, plenty of pizza, and absolutely not enough sleep.

Wouldn’t change a second of it. by @blackcloakrunners
