“A child cannot receive their first measles vaccine until twelve months old. Until that first birthday, the only thing standing between that baby and this virus is the rest of us. That’s not a mystery — that’s arithmetic. This week at Benjamin Franklin High School, families can walk in and walk out with a physical, their immunizations, and an appointment already made for whatever else their child needs. That’s what access looks like.”

Two Pennsylvanians died of measles this week. Both UNVACCINATED. The first measles deaths in our state in 35 years.

No family should lose someone to a disease we have a vaccine for.

Shout out 🙌🏾 to the football coaches of @westphillyhigh School @speedboysfb__ who made sure their student athletes had all boxes ✅!

I love this time of year getting our kids ready for school with physical exams, vaccinations and mental health support.

And thank you to all the coaches, guardians and surrogate parents that make sure our children get what they need🙌🏾💪🏾❤️ it takes a village!
