Yorkshire’s Penistone Grammar School were victorious at Headingley in the girl’s semi-final of the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup, winning a thrilling match against The Ecclesbourne School by 11 runs.

Congratulations to Altrincham Grammar School, the first team to qualify for the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup Final.

The boys’ team defeated Sir Thomas Rich’s Grammar School by 42 runs with Charlie Rourke the star, scoring 50* from 23 balls and taking two wickets.

Our Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup Semi-Finalists are confirmed!

At Headingley on Monday, Sir Thomas Rich’s (Gloucs) will take on Altrincham Grammar School (Cheshire) in the boys’ match before Ecclesbourne School (Derbyshire) battle it out against Penistone Grammar School (Yorkshire) in the girls’ fixture.

The boys’ match at Wormsley on Thursday sees Queen Elizabeth Barnet (Middlesex) play John Hampden Grammar School (Bucks) before the girls at Bournemouth School for Girls (Dorset) and Chelmsford County High School (Essex) compete for the chance to play at Lord’s on Thursday 10 September.
