Jack Black 🖤

When I was trying to figure out what kind of dog I should get (energy level, personality, etc), ChatGPT told me to pay attention to how I felt around them. Did my nervous system calm down around them? Could I imagine spending a regular Thursday together?

When I visited the rescue, Jack (Chip back then) was one of the few dogs who met those criteria for me, even though there were obviously so many other wonderful dogs there.

I’m still so glad I applied for him and got him, because five month later, I can’t imagine there could have been a better dog for me 🖤

All my favorite things in these pictures: the ocean, the sunset, the city at sunset, and my sweet boy learning to swim 🌅🌆🖤

Yes, I knew that traveling would become harder with a dog, but I thought it would be because of the logistics. I didn’t expect how much I’d miss him and how badly I’d want to get back home 🥲🖤

Before Jack, having a yard wasn’t high on my list of priorities. Frankly, I always preferred apartment living. Now priorities have shifted 🖤

Life changes after getting a dog #5: a lot of little goofy moments together 👻 #peekaboo #lifeisbetterwithadog #spookyseason🎃 by @blackjack_chip

The last few days have been rainy, with not nearly enough walkies 🌧️ If this continues, I guess the only thing to look forward to this weekend is Sunday game day, lots of couch time and belly rubs 🏈
