In Aurora, Todd Blackmore demonstrates just how powerful phrasing can be. This performance is taken from his debut JTC masterclass Vocal Phrasing Techniques, where musical expression takes centre stage.

Todd reimagines familiar scales and ideas through a completely different lens, showing how subtle changes in articulation and note placement can radically reshape your sound. His approach blends double-stops, tapped harmonics, and fingerstyle textures to create the earthy, vocal quality that defines his playing.

Since its release, Vocal Phrasing Techniques has helped countless players unlock a more creative mindset, encouraging you to move beyond patterns and approach phrasing with intention, personality, and nuance.
