Insane and YET SO OBVIOUS. We sweat in our workout clothes and almost nobody asks what’s in them.
I was so focused on PFAS-free that I MISSED THE PLASTIC.
My new journey is trialing the ones doing it better. Two I tried this week:

@vibrantbodycompany is OEKO-TEX certified & Certified Clean™, meaning they test the whole garment (thread, dye, tag, not just the fabric) for harmful substances, including BPA and PFAS. I’ve worn the leggings in 3 hot classes (@hotpilates @silverspringsmelrose @goodpointmalibu, cc: @nnelsonc, the best) and they are super light and comfortable. I wear my normal size.

@livetheprocess RAWCOTTON™ collection is SO chic and super comfortable. In really hot classes It stretches out and shows more sweat. Showing sweat needs to be re-normalized. I sized up in the LUNA Bodysuit (I’m on the taller side)and down in the leggings for a more snug fit. Waiting for the sports bra to ship. 🖤 by @blackonblack

Feels like the coolest snapshot in time that repeats each summer with pristine wood boats and overly tanned beach patrols. The South Jersey Lifeguard Championships hosted by ABP (Avalon Beach Patrol). Dave has regaled me with stories of them from his years as a Stone Harbor Beach Patrol guard. Part of the best of the summer when you lifeguard. Avalon, Stone Harbor, Atlantic City, Cape May, Sea Isle City, Upper Township, Brigantine, Wildwood and so many others in South Jersey all send their best to race each other after the shifts are over for the day. The towns all drive their trucks out onto the beach, locals crowd the launch point of their town. Rowing, swimming, running, relays… girls and guys.. not many things can only be experienced IRL but this is one and it just so happened we were in Avalon this week.
Team Champions: Atlantic City Beach Patrol (1st place), followed by Avalon (2nd place) and Upper Township (3rd place). by @blackonblack
