"Let's take everyday object and see how far we can push it creatively." That was the brief for our internal studio project.

We have chose bicycle chain as the hero object for it's animation potential and mechanical nature.
We ended up doing many interesting tests and the problem was finding the time to render them all. We decided to try more graphical look as it was taking a lot quicker look-dev. We are happy with the results, i hope you like them as well.

We had the pleasure of creating the opening video for @adclietuva. ⭐The event took place in the gorgeous St. Catherine’s Church, surrounded by Baroque ornaments and statues. Since this was a pro bono project, we wanted to use the opportunity to learn new techniques and bring something fresh to the table. It was the perfect setting to dive into #HoudiniCOPS and experiment. After numerous trials, tests, and happy accidents, we were really pleased with the result. Have to admit, we were a little nervous about showcasing the video, but client (@adomas) loved it, and it was approved without a single adjustment.🤠 A rare thing in our industry :)In the slides, you’ll find some of the different colour options and R&D versions we explored along the way. Big thanks to @archy_archyvas for all the hard work

Our long term client B!POD has released a book "food matters". It is full of beautiful real life photography and our crafted renders. Available in Italian and French - two languages that we have not mastered yet. Available to purchase on their store.

Our long-time partner "SAES Design House" asked us to choose an animal with extraordinary capabilities that could relate to their product - "small but powerful".

Welcome Agalychnis Callidryas aka Tree Frog. Creature animation is always a challenging but fascinating task. We took it under our wing with care.
Even though the rig for the body wasn't particularly complex, the eyes required another level of attention. In reality, these eyeballs move deep into the skull, and huge transparent eyelids contract neatly under the eye.

It took a lot of blend-shape simulation, a little bit of scripting, a bunch of bones, and a lot of biological references to learn how this animal moves.
We had so much fun, I hope you like it. Thank you @armians3d for top-notch modeling.

We were commissioned to create a curious octopus for a Bipod commercial, that was a challenging and very interesting task.

The tentacle model was made procedurally with few parameters the sucker shape and main tentacle length could be easilly adjusted as needed. We decided that an octopus should be showcased in a designy way, so the model had a bunch of procedural masks and uv channels in order to achieve desired look.

The animation was made with procedural rig, animation and simulation passes. the suction action was with dynamic constraints using vex code. In short: if target (the lid) is near by and directly in front of sucker - try to attach, but if less than 50 percent of cucker surface is covered - release immediatly (leaky vacuum), if suction is strong, hold for few seconds and release in order to get a "walking" action.

It was not a easy task visually and technically but we think it came out great. Production time was around 2 weeks.
