In Our Words is part of Growing Mentally Healthy Young People (GMHYP), a consultation with Caribbean young adults aged 20 to 30 across Birmingham, run with Mindseye Development CIC for Birmingham City Council’s Creating a Mentally Healthy City Strategy. We asked one question: what would a mentally healthy community look like for you?

Pop up with us this October. For Black History Month, pop-up days at our Birmingham home in the Great Western Arcade are open to book from Monday 5 October

£30 for the day, 6ft stall and two chairs included.

Self-service: book, turn up and trade, weekdays 12–5pm, in the middle of nearly 40 independent brands.

Yesterday we officially opened the doors to Indespoke Solihull, and we couldn’t have asked for a better launch.

A huge thank you to the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Sardul Singh Marwa MBE JP, and the Mayoress, for joining us and doing the honours with the ribbon, it meant more than words can say to have you there for such a big moment for us.

To everyone who came down, shopped, chatted, and celebrated with us thank you. This space is for independent brands, makers, and this community, and yesterday proved exactly why that matters.

Here’s to the next chapter.

We’ve secured a five figure media partnership with @jcdecaux_uk to put independent brands in front of thousands of people every day across Birmingham city centre.

Over the coming months, you’ll start spotting some of the incredible brands from our community featured on JCDecaux’s digital screens, giving them the kind of visibility that’s often out of reach for small businesses.

This is exactly why we built Indespoke. To create opportunities that help independent brands grow.

We’re excited to be developing a new INDESPOKE concept store, designed to bring together independent brands, experiences and community under one roof.

As part of the launch, we’re looking for 3 founding Anchor Partners to establish a physical presence within the store and help shape the customer experience from day one.

We’re particularly interested in speaking with:
