I finally got to check out Black Rabbit. It’s right across from the Gazebo on the green. It is so lovely. So aesthetic. You can tell every choice was intentional. And bonus points, they will also be at Falls Hallow Fest on 10/25❤️❤️

Is everyone ready for wine trail today??
One of @jkranzcarpentry and my favorite Milford events! —- and in its existence, we’ve only ever missed one…. For my brother’s wedding 🧡

Now we’re a stop on the trail! We’ll have some great food from @bin100restaurant and serve delicious wine along side. We’ve got some Black Rabbit Wine League merch making its debut tonight, too. Limited supply!

Downtown Milford is about to get a whole lot cozier. 🍂

We’ve been working on something really fun for October 25, and this is just a little peek at what’s coming.

Falls Hollow is taking over Downtown Milford, and I cannot wait to see this all come together.

🌱We’ve got some really unique plants here at the shop! —- each one potted with love and care by our own Milford resident ‘plant man’ @a.plantsman, and in vessels that have been recycled or reused beyond their origin.

If you’re hesitant when it comes to plants, these are the perfect gateway—- because they come with their own tiny instruction manual— which has been individually created for each plant, all wrapped into its cute little tag!

I came across Adam and his array of plants at a pop shop market on the green just over a year ago. The jade plant I bought, nestled in a cute vintage glass, is still going strong, and is one of the only plants I have that I have full confidence I can care for!! They also make great gifts——!!

NEW TEE DESIGN just in time for the Lobster Roll Festival here in Milford tomorrow! Soft indigo unisex tee. Commemorating Milford’s claim to fame that Perry’s offered up the very first hot buttered lobster roll….dubbed ‘The Connecticut Lobster Roll’ (and the only way to eat it, as far as I’m concerned…. 🧈🔥

@blackrabbit_ct recently opened in downtown Milford & it’s the perfect little boutique! They have everything from home decor, greeting cards, the coziest looking sweatshirts, GILMORE GIRLS KEYCHAINS, and even Swedish candy!

There’s a Porchfest event happening over in the East Shore section of Milford on Sunday! Outlook looks sunny and full of fun—- we have some vintage Milford Porchfest tees for sale in the shop from years 2021-2025 if you want some swag to rep in. Wowowow!! I am in awe — honored, humbled, and energized from the event on Saturday! So grateful to see the support of so many long-time friends, family, and neighbors who showed up - and also the new faces that came to introduce themselves! Your combined enthusiasm has been so incredibly uplifting!

Many thanks to Mark Arnold for pushing this story and believing in me and the shop’s vision before it even had any items to show for itself! Thank you to Tracy and the Downtown Milford Business Association with their over the top support, as well as the local business owners & makers I’ve been so lucky to start to collaborate with on some store items @svdeckerjewelry @sunshine.ceramics.studio @a.plantsman @legrify_inspired (I cant wait to introduce you to them all individually + showcase their talents!)

Huge thank you to Amy and Traci @amae.collective (!) It was about a year ago that I heard their space at the cottage was coming to an end because they were going to combine their 2 locations into one spot at the new Metro TOD building on River Street. Amy encouraged me to follow my dream in creating something special with the cottage. More on that story to come!

I wouldn’t have made it this far without the woman who has been my right hand for the past 5 years(!) @itslaurenbarone @winkpinkink . She does the work of about 7 people (which seems fitting she has at least 2 insta handles). Currently on maternity leave with her latest creation, Mr. Beau Barone — I have felt like I’ve been both flapping in the breeze and running at full speed with scissors without her. Much more to say on her to come, too.

Saturday came together joyfully and made much easier by my wing-women and best friends Libby @buckholzlibby and Katie @katiegeddesinteriors, and our dear friend’s daughter Ella @ella_g_alt5 (who I’d elevate to friend level at this point). Primping and pricing — jumping in with both hands without question. —you may have even met our ‘employee of the month’, my nephew Charlie — who worked the register most of the night!

Tomorrow starting at 4pm, we welcome you to join us to wander into the shop, while celebrating the launch of @milfordcitylifestyle magazine’s September style issue. We will offer some sips, snacks and samples from our Swedish gummy candy counter.

It’s been an honor to be chosen to grace the cover, especially when it was very clearly an ‘unfinished project’ at the time we shot it. I’m still building, tinkering, bringing in more items and collaborating with fun local makers/artisans who will become members of the ‘Black Rabbit Society’.

I have bigger plans and a broader scope of where I’d like to go with it all, but trying to enjoy the ride along the way, and following the path where it all leads. The shop carries a bit of a mood of mystery—- I think that has a lot to do with the fact that the way it will unfold is bit of a mystery to me too…—- i’m excited to show you —- and to meet you (!) 🖤🐇✨
