I literally miss traditional Journalism 😕 😪 😢

Let's be honest. Many newsrooms are no longer reporting the news, they are manufacturing it. Propaganda has replaced journalism. Narratives are bought. Truth is edited to suit the highest bidder.

The reason I have struggled to work for many publications and media houses is simple: I refuse to be captured.

I am ungovernable in that sense. You cannot pay me to lie to the people. You cannot instruct me to bury a story that matters. You cannot convince me to betray my principles for access.

Journalism is not public relations. It is accountability ✍️✌️ by @blackrose.rsa

Today is World Mental Health Day. October 10.

I am speaking as a mental health advocate, founder of BR Media and Projects, but more importantly — as a woman who has had fair struggles with mental health challenges.

Fact: WHO reports that over 970 million people live with mental disorders, yet 70% of people in Africa have no access to care. That is why I advocate for mental well-being. Behind every number is a person. A story. A silent battle that many fights without ever being diagnosed.

I am living proof that you can live, work, dream, lead, and love — while managing a mental health condition/ illness /disorder/ challenges.

My mission through BR Media and Projects is to make mental health a normal conversation in our homes, schools, and workplaces.

So I challenge you today:
Check on your strong friend.
Check on your quiet friend.
- And most importantly, check on YOURSELF.

You are not alone. I am with you.
