Spent today building a Lego Sorting Hat with my son. When I was young, my friends came back from overseas with Legos and I watched them. We did not travel much, Budget was tight. These things were not for us then.

I went to Legoland in Carlsbad when I was studying at GIA in the US. I used to go and see the huge LEGO stores in King of Prussia mall, near Philadelphia. I really wanted to buy but I was on a paycheck to paycheck salary, so I did not buy. Anyways!

Some things you defer. Some things you forget. Some things come back around when you are ready for them. Today was one of those days.

My question to you: What did you want as a child that you have quietly gone back and given yourself as an adult?

I saw it twenty years ago. I just hope they get to live it.

Some cities show you their ceiling. New York never did. Every time I came through after the Lincoln Tunnel, the Hudson opened up, the skyline rose and somewhere above it all the helicopters moved. Constantly Back and forth. A city that never stopped operating at that frequency.

I stood at a balcony in Bandra Reclamation today and looked at the sea and the South Mumbai skyline. Beautiful, Genuinely! And for a moment, twenty years collapsed.

I am not waiting for Mumbai to become New York. That is not the point. The point is that cities have versions of themselves they have not reached yet. Cleaner water, More sky. A certain kind of movement that tells you something is working at every level.

My generation will not see that version of Mumbai. I have made peace with that, But the fifteen, sixteen, twenty year old watching this right now, they might. That is the only reason I said anything at all, Not critique, Not nostalgia. Just a hope passed forward to the people who still have the time to see it happen.

That is what “Dua” looks like when it is pointed at the future instead of the past.

I was walking on the beach stopped to talk to the crew that cleans Juhu Beach after the evening crowd. Here is what they told us.

It’s your beach and this is what you can do to keep the beach clean:

• Carry your packaging to a bin or take it home
• Avoid leaving bottles and wrappers near the sea wall
• Teach children to pick up what they drop

It’s hot and humid in Mumbai and I i was informed few days back that Brownie our building dog was not eating food. I got worried and then got into action.

What does “green” actually mean in real estate?

We often see projects marketed around green spaces, sustainability and environmental initiatives. But how much of it actually adds value, and how much is simply marketing?

In this conversation, we looked at the perception that developers don’t really care about the environment, and whether that view is actually fair.

Because the reality is somewhere in between. Development will always have an impact, but there are also environmental requirements that need to be followed and maintained.

And if a developer is genuinely making the effort to meet those requirements, that matters.

Being in a room where AI is being recognised for creating real business impact is a good reminder of how quickly things are changing.

I was at the Times of India AI Quotient Awards and was there to present the AI in Real Estate award, recognising companies using AI to create real world impact in the industry.

I use AI in my own work too, although I still need quite a bit of help from my team to understand everything it can do.

Real estate, content, business, technology. AI is slowly becoming part of all of it.
