On this day in 2025! ☀️🎸

The small Sunny Side festival always has top-notch acts lined up that absolutely deliver every single time they play live! On this day, three very special bands took the stage and completely tore the house down:

Blackslash: The heavy metal formation delivered razor-sharp riffs and driving anthems that made the crowd go wild. Pure headbanging energy from start to finish!

Fraser: With their catchy hooks and powerful sound, they brought the perfect rock vibe to the stage and immediately swept everyone away.

The Hook: The rock'n'roll outfit from France gave a masterclass in raw, energetic live music. Their grooving beats and authentic passion completely captivated the hall.

Location: Festhalle Liedolsheim

A bittersweet look back: The MV Hard e.V., which organized the Sunny Side festival with so much passion, has unfortunately disbanded. With a heavy heart, this means there will likely be no more Sunny Side festivals in the near future. All the more reason to cherish these precious memories! 🖤

Das kleine Festival Sunny Side hat einfach immer erstklassige Acts am Start, die live jedes Mal absolut abliefern! An diesem Tag standen drei ganz besondere Bands auf der Bühne, die die Halle komplett abgerissen haben:

Blackslash: Die Heavy-Metal-Formation lieferte messerscharfe Riffs und treibende Hymnen, die das Publikum zum Kochen brachten. Pure Headbanging-Energie von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute!

Fraser: Mit ihren eingängigen Hooks und ihrem kraftvollen Sound brachten sie den perfekten Rock-Vibe auf die Bühne und rissen alle sofort mit.

The Hook: Die Rock'n'Roll-Truppe aus Frankreich zeigte eindrucksvoll, was echte, dreckige Live-Energie bedeutet. Ihre groovenden Beats und die pure Leidenschaft steckten die ganze Halle an.

Ein wehmütiger Blick zurück: Der MV Hard e.V., der das Sunny Side mit so viel Herzblut organisiert hat, hat sich leider inzwischen aufgelöst. Das bedeutet schweren Herzens auch, dass es in naher Zukunft wohl keine weiteren Sunny Side Festivals mehr geben wird. Umso wertvoller sind diese Erinnerungen! 🖤

While preparing my camera for @trveheim next weekend, I realized that it’s been ten years (!) since the first edition of the festival.

Ten years ago the festival happened as a one-day-thing in Otterfing, near to Munich and it was a hell of a ride! Nine bands, from young and local stuff up to the Crème de la Crème of the Heavy Metal scene at that time: Attic, Space Chaser and Skullwinx (the festival organizer’s band!) to name only a few. Besides that there were legendary acts like Demon and Trance - and Steelwing played their second last show ever on the festival.

My friends of @blackslashband were the second band to play and it felt really like homecoming, seeing so many familiar faces onstage and in the crowd. So let’s have a view into the past to get excited for this year’s Trveheim!

Unfortunately we have to cancel all gigs this year. Our singer has suffered a major injury that makes singing and performing within the coming months impossible. We‘re very sorry but we will see you in 2027 - STRONGER THAN EVER for our 20th anniversary. @rising_fest_heavy_metal_show would have been our first gig in France. @hells.pells_ev_ had to be canceled a second time which sucks so much but bigger things are working against us. @kulturkommando_rennsteig_e.v - we hope to see you in 2027!
