PLEASE NOTE
Due to the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR) all our products are on “coming soon”for now as we have to figure out how it’s still possible to run an online shop and shipping products across the EU. Bureaucracy and turbo capitalism y’all.

Do it the old way. DIY. You know how to reach us.

Zines are STILL not a crime.

Des has been found guilty of corruptly concealing and conspiracy to conceal documents. This says nothing about Des. Only the state’s desire to criminalize dissent.

Make some noise for Des and the Prairieland defendants.

This fight is far from over.

Tiny PSA….if y’all really want to reach us please don’t rely on DMs on this (or any app). They get buried in notifications, story replies and whatnot.

eMail is still the most reliable way, if you don’t have it you can find a contact form in our website. Thanks.

🖤 Sponsor Spotlight: Black Spoke Collective 🚲

The same day in late June that Des was sentenced to 30 years behind heartless bars, we received a snail-mail package of sketches he’d done while incarcerated, awaiting that fateful hearing. He’d rushed to send them to us, his support committee, fearing that his art would be lost in the transition from the federal prison in Fort Worth to the jail in Johnson County, where they moved him and other Prairieland defendants ahead of the cruel sentencing.

Some of the sketches were close to finished, and others still rough drafts. All carried @desrevol’s signature style, exuding love and sweetness.

So it was bittersweet, if not just bitter, to flip through his grayish pencil drawings. They lacked the vibrant colors he usually plays with in his artwork because prison denies him access to bright pencils, pens, and paint. But far more than that, it denies him access to the little animals that frequently serve as his inspiration—including the baby animals he’s fostered in the past. Far, far more than that, though, it denies him freedom—to be outside, to be among family, to tattoo folks and cook big vegan meals for friends. Thirty years—simply because of the love of what this lil fella in this drawing is holding: rad literature!

Still, we know it would warm Des’s big heart to no end to know that other artists—in this case, one with @justseeds—kindly engaged in an inside-outside collaboration of sorts, adding vibrant colors to some of Des’s B+W, partially finished line drawings. Such relational exchanges underscore that letters are a two-way (or more) thing: Write someone inside, write someone outside, and look what can unfold! Here’s a delightful sample (the “after,” followed by Des’s original “before” sketch that he mailed to us), and one that cries out with rebellious love: “Free Des! Free them all!”

You can find this piece of art—and another colorful version of it—on the new “Free Des! Free them all!” page of free, downloadable art by and for Des as well as other Prairieland defendants on Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative’s website (with our huge thanks) at:

On June 23rd 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, sentences for the so called “Prairieland Defendants” were handed down. 30 – 100 years for a noise demo in solidarity with people in ICE detention. Among them is our dear friend Des, who was convicted to 30 years in federal prison for “corruptly concealing a document or record” aka moving a box of political zines/pamphlets.

The government branded anti-fascist writings as “insurrectionary materials” — “not a weapon, not a plan. Speech.“ as @willpotter has put it so very clear.

Des wasn’t even at the protest in question.

“Under the First Amendment, possessing literature cannot be criminal, so what legitimate evidence could he possibly have been concealing?”[…] “Political zines like those Sanchez possessed are no different from the pro-Revolution pamphlets this country’s founders had in mind when they drafted the First Amendment’s press clause.” said Seth Stern, of the @freedomofthepressfoundation

The noise demo took place on the 4th of July 2025 and this year the so called United States celebrated 250 years of freedom and democracy. You couldn’t make this up.

There are a lot of great statements and resources out there and we have nothing to add, but let us say this:

We are in this for the long run. This fight is far from over (no matter if you are in the US or anywhere else in the world. This concerns us all!). We will continue to support Des and the other (non-cooperating) defendants.

FREE DES!
FREE THEM ALL!
COMMUNITY IS NOT CONSPIRACY!
SOLIDARITY KNOWS NO BORDERS!
