I’m almost done planting all of my brassicas. This year I’m growing these mini Napa cabbages called Wa Wa Sai from @westcoastseeds. This is the perfect mini cabbage for small spaces so I’ve tucked some in my GreenStalk and in between my broccoli plants.

The garlic is up and looking good. I planted 2 beds of garlic last year in September and then in late October. I just fed them with some blood meal and dressed the beds with compost and worm castings.

Winter Sowing Native Plants

It’s snowing!!!! To take advantage of the temperature drop I decided to start some seeds I picked up from the Seedy Saturday event last month. If your seeds need a period of cold stratification I highly recommend winter sowing them and you can use pretty much anything to get started as long as your container is clear and you can poke holes in the bottom and top.

Spring is finally here, the birds are back, and I am officially in my happy place! 🌷✨ There is nothing quite like waking up to the sound of birds in the garden.

I’ve been wanting to invite more feathered friends into the yard, so I finally installed this new feeder from @kingsyard_official. The best part? Still working through canning all of these tomatoes I harvested last year at the end of the season. They were ripened indoors and dumped in the freezer until now. I grew 8 plants last year and it feels like I’ve been canning forever!!
