Just wow!! Flew over the Great Blue Hole. A massive marine sinkhole measuring over 984 feet across and 407 feet deep. Jacques Cousteau brought global fame to the sinkhole in the 1970s, declaring it one of the top dive sites in the world. Belize has an amazing reef and I hope to snorkel / dive this week by @blackwidow.ing

In addition to the tree top walk we saw glow worms. Not really a worm but the larval stage of a fungus gnat. The larvae produce light via a chemical reaction (similar to a firefly) to lure prey, turning their light up brighter when hungry. They hang silk threads covered in sticky saliva, forming a "chandelier" to trap insects. They require high humidity, found in caves and forests. by @blackwidow.ing

Our first day in Queenstown NZ trying to beat the rain. Charming town with a gondola that provided wonderful views of downtown and NZ’s longest lake, Lake Wakatipu. Since it’s very difficult to see NZ’s national bird - the Kiwi we went to the Kiwi and birdlife park. Kiwi’s are really cool to watch in person as the look more like mammals then birds. Because they are nocturnal (light sensitive) they are camera “shy” by @blackwidow.ing

Guatemala is home to 37 official volcanoes located along the central highlands and Pacific coast and are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. One of the key reasons I wanted to visit Guatemala, besides my beau being from there, was to see Fuego erupt. No luck…too cloudy. I’ve been to 4 active volcanoes now and still have not seen one erupt. Maybe they are trying to tell me something 🤔🔥☠️… 😂 by @blackwidow.ing

Antigua, a Unesco World Heritage site and the former colonial capital which was abandoned after a major earthquake in 1773. The quake preserved its Baroque buildings, churches, ruins and cobblestone streets in the highlands of Guatemala by @blackwidow.ing
