Three elements and three female figures meeting in a single art object.

Earth, water and wind – three dimensions of the inner world, united at the intersection of the elements as a symbol of unity, support and the strength of sisterhood.

The conceptual centre of ANIMA is a collectible chest crafted using traditional hand-laid straw marquetry. An artefact created to preserve the most precious things, memories and personal stories.

Земля, вода та вітер – три виміри внутрішнього світу, об’єднані на межі стихій як символ єдності, підтримки та сили сестринства.

Смисловим центром ANIMA стала колекційна скриня, створена в техніці ручної солом’яної маркетрі. Артефакт для збереження найцінніших речей, спогадів та особистих історій.

Vodianytsia is the spirit of water and depth. She embodies the unconscious – what lies beneath the surface and reveals itself when we dare to look within.

Hers is fluidity, acceptance, and the willingness to trust the natural current.
In the straw marquetry, fish scales meet wave-like lines, while the play of light evokes the shimmer of sun on the water’s surface.

Дух води та глибини. Водяниця уособлює підсвідоме – те, що приховано під поверхнею і відкривається, коли ми наважуємося зазирнути вглиб себе.

Це образ про плинність, прийняття та вміння довіряти природному потоку.
У солом’яному маркетрі риб’яча луска поєднується з хвилеподібними лініями, а гра світла відтворює мерехтіння сонця на водній гладіні.

Hers is the natural desire to be free — to move, to change, and to remain true to herself.
In the straw marquetry, a twilight sky meets pale fibers that convey the weightlessness of moving air.

Mavka is the spirit of earth and forest. She embodies the wild nature within us, a sense of grounding, and trust in our own instincts.

Hers is the honesty of being true to ourselves, and the courage to cut our own path through the thicket.
In the straw marquetry, tall grasses intertwine with botanical motifs that echo willow branches and braided hair.

Дух землі та лісу. Мавка уособлює дику природу всередині нас, відчуття заземлення та довіру власним інстинктам.

Introducing the ANIMA Collection – a story of a woman’s inner nature, told through Ukrainian mythology and the language of the elements.

Blackwood Atelier × RUDA Studio meet at the intersection of object and fashion design, where two distinct practices become one shared language.

The collection unfolds across three realms – earthly, subterranean, and celestial – each represented by a feminine mythological being from Ukrainian folklore with its own character and a straw marquetry narrative.

Vodianytsia — Aurora. Water and depth.
Povitrulia — Sandy. Sky and wind.

At the centre is the ANIMA COLLECTIBLE BOX – a hand-inlaid art object created to preserve precious memories and meaningful artefacts. Its composition brings the three beings together as a symbol of unity, inner support, and sisterhood.

Blackwood Atelier × RUDA Studio зустрічаються на перетині предметного та fashion-дизайну, де дві самобутні практики об’єднуються в одну спільну мову.
