🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨 God has other plans for your boy and I’ll be damned if I let these past couple of months of training go to waste. So I’ll be running an UNOFFICIAL marathon on Nov 1 starting in Revere Beach going into Marblehead and back on the beach. I chose this route because I failed over and over and over on this very beach. No medal, no crowds cheering you on, nothing. Just want to prove to myself I can do this shit. Thank you all (you know who you are) for always showing love and pushing me. I’m confident and feel determined that I can do this even tho I’m going through a lot of injuries. STAY TUNED… #keepshowingup #bronxboy💯 by @blady327

Sometimes I sit and wonder how my dad is doing in heaven. I wonder if he knows how much I think about him, how many things remind me of him, and how much I wish he can see me now. I keep going cuz I know he’s rooting for me. 20 miles for breakfast. No medals just continuing to show up. #doitalone #doittired #doithurt #bronxboy💯 by @blady327

Some surprises are bigger than the moment itself. ❤️

The last time we saw one of her favorite artists in this same venue, we were all the way at the top, standing with an obstructed view. She never complained. She was just grateful and happy to be in the building. But I remember looking at her that night and quietly telling myself, next time, I’m going to do better for her.

This time, I got that chance.

Before the main surprise, I took her to dinner at my job — somewhere I always told myself I would never go on my day off. But for her, there will always be exceptions.

Then came the moment I had been waiting for. Not only did we have incredible seats, but after all the times we’ve seen him together over the years, we finally got to meet him for the first time.

Seeing the happiness on her face is something I’ll never forget.

As she gets older, I find myself holding onto moments like this a little tighter. You start realizing that time is the one thing you can never get back, and while I’m blessed enough to still have her here, I want to give her as many beautiful memories as I possibly can.

This is easily one of the top 3 surprises I’ve ever given her, but the truth is, no surprise, dinner, concert, or experience could ever repay what she has given me throughout my life.

I will forever be in debt to her.

One day, all we’ll have are the memories we created together. This is one I’ll take with me to the grave. ❤️

Some people think the greatest lesson from running the Boston Marathon was crossing the finish line.

For me, it didn’t begin until after I crossed it.

For 10 weeks, I trained without a single cramp. Then on marathon day, at mile 14, both of my legs completely locked up. Every step to the finish was agony.

I remember asking God, not “Why me?” but, “What are You trying to teach me?”

Months later, I finally listened.

I had lived with varicose veins for many years. Working in hospitality since I was 17, spending countless hours on my feet, being overweight at different points in my life, and genetics—my father had them too—all played a role. I had ignored them for far too long.

After researching clinics around the world, I found the doctor I trusted most in Medellín, Colombia and for an excellent price. During my procedure, the surgeon looked at my legs and asked, “You ran a marathon with these legs?”

I just laughed.

Today marks one month since my procedure, and I already feel a huge difference. My legs feel lighter, I have more energy, and I know choosing my health was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Recovery is still ongoing, but every week I feel stronger.

Looking back, those brutal cramps at mile 14 weren’t there to stop me.

They were there to get my attention.

If they hadn’t happened, I probably would’ve continued ignoring something that needed to be fixed.

Sometimes God doesn’t answer our questions right away. Sometimes He lets us discover the answer ourselves.

Take care of your body. Listen when it’s trying to tell you something.

Because the life you’re hoping to live tomorrow depends on the choices you make today. ❤️

Gracias @juanarrietavascular por todo y por darme esperanza con mis nuevas piernas. Dios lo bendiga y a su equipo también. 🙏🏽 #grateful #thankyougod #bronxboy💯 taken in Medellín, Colombia by @blady327

People always ask me, “Out of everything you’ve done around the world, what’s been your greatest travel achievement?”

It wasn’t visiting 6 of the 7 Wonders of the World.

It wasn’t taking a private helicopter flight over Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

It wasn’t experiencing the 14-course tasting menu at Central in Lima, Peru, voted the World’s Best Restaurant in 2024.

It wasn’t jet skiing through some of the most breathtaking destinations on Earth.

It wasn’t celebrating New Year’s Eve in Dubai or Sydney.

It wasn’t my private Godfather tour through Sicily.

It wasn’t eating authentic Kobe beef in Kobe, Japan.

It wasn’t cage shark diving in South Africa.

It wasn’t petting Tigers and Cheetahs in Thailand.

It wasn’t jumping off the highest bungee jump in the world in Macau, China.

It wasn’t the over the water bungalows in the Maldives.

And it wasn’t the breathtaking safaris across Africa.

It was one unforgettable hour in the jungles of Uganda with the Mukiza family—a mountain gorilla family of 20.

Nothing I’ve experienced has ever matched the adrenaline, the emotion, the respect, and the connection I felt standing just feet away from these incredible animals in their natural home.

Some moments in life are so powerful that words simply aren’t enough to describe them.

Out of every country I’ve visited and every adventure I’ve been blessed to experience, that one hour with the Mukiza family remains my greatest accomplishment and my most treasured travel memory.

Some journeys change the places you’ve seen.

Others change you.

Uganda changed me forever. 🦍🇺🇬❤️ #travel #uganda #gorillatrekking #bronxboy💯 taken in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda by @blady327

Two years ago today, I made a decision that changed my life forever.

I stopped looking back.

Back then, I was partying nonstop, drinking 4–5 days a week, waking up late, feeling lazy, and had absolutely no motivation. I knew I wanted more from life, so I made a promise to myself—and this time, I kept it.

I walked back into the gym with zero intention of becoming a runner. I wasn’t chasing half marathons or the Boston Marathon. I was simply trying to become a better version of myself.

That one decision led me to losing over 40 pounds, running more than 10 half marathons, and crossing the finish line of the iconic Boston Marathon.

But the medals, races, and finish lines were never the greatest victory.

The real victory was the person I became in the process.

That part I’ll keep to myself.

If my journey inspires you, I hope it’s not because of the marathons. I hope it’s because you realize that change is possible when you keep showing up—for life, for your goals, and for the promises you make to yourself, especially when no one is watching.

The job is finished, but this lifestyle isn’t. The journey continues.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and wished me well over these past two years. Your kindness has meant more than you know.

Here’s to continuing the journey. ❤️ #keepshowingup #bronxboy💯 by @blady327

In 2012, after my divorce, I made a promise to myself: I would never stop exploring this beautiful world. What started as a way to heal became a way of life. Since then, every passport stamp, every sunrise, every conversation with a stranger, and every new culture has shaped me into the person I am today.

Recently, while spending some quiet moments in Japan and Fiji, I found myself reflecting on this incredible journey. It gave me the chance to go back through thousands of photos I had taken from those early years right up until the world paused during the pandemic. I cleaned them up, brought them back to life, and with every photo came a flood of emotions. They weren’t just pictures—they were reminders of who I was in that moment, what I was feeling, and how far I’ve come.

Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just traveling the world… I was finding myself one country at a time.

These memories remind me that the greatest investment I’ve ever made wasn’t in things—it was in experiences, people, and moments that can never be replaced.

As long as I’m able, I’ll keep chasing new horizons. Because for me, home isn’t just one place anymore… it’s every corner of this earth.

Here’s to the memories I’ve relived, the adventures still waiting, and a promise I made to myself back in 2012 that I’m still keeping today. 🌎✈️
