No bad parts, baby. 🪽

Imagine a reality where you feel peace within, have a harmonious inner world, and make decisions from a place of consciousness and freedom.

When there is no war within, there is no war without.
I really believe that changing the world starts with changing ourselves, and the more peaceful we become inside, the more peace we will see in our planet.

IFS is simply one of many pathways to facilitate this process 🤍.

This framework will shift the way you relate to life, if you allow it to 🤍🪽.

We must be willing to meet life halfway 🙏🏼. by @blair.thurston

I love capturing women in all their chapters and eras. It's such a beautiful thing to witness women grow and evolve through the years 🩵 by @blair.thurston

We have overcomplicated wellness to the point that it’s honestly astonishing.

We have to remind grown women to eat enough food. Drink enough water. Go outside. Sleep. Rest. Breathe. 🫠

And somewhere between the protocols, supplements, wearables, morning routines and endless pursuit of becoming a “healthier” version of ourselves…

…we forgot that feeling fucking ALIVE is part of being well.

Last night I went to see @rufusdusol with my girlfriends, and dancing my absolute ass off at a concert is genuinely one of my happiest places on earth.

Sweaty. Screaming lyrics. Laughing. Moving my body without tracking a single fucking thing. Not trying to improve it, change it, burn something off or make the experience productive.

Just completely fucking IN IT. MELTINGGGGGGG.

And this belongs in the conversation about health.

Female friendship belongs in the conversation.

Community, laughter, music, dancing, play, pleasure, sensuality and doing things for no other reason than they light your fucking ass on fire belong in the conversation.

I ask women I work with to dance sometimes for this exact reason. Not because dancing needs to become another wellness task, but because sometimes you need to get the fuck out of your head and back into your body.

Put on the song. Shake your ass. Make noise. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Let the version of you who used to dance around her bedroom at 16 come the fuck OUT.

And no, you don’t need a concert ticket.

Dance barefoot in your kitchen. Have your girlfriends over. Blast music in the car. Play. Sing terribly. Wear the outfit. Do something simply because it’s FUN.

We spend so much of adulthood doing for everyone else and working on ourselves that sometimes we forget to actually enjoy ourselves.

Your body needs nourishment, minerals, water, sleep, sunlight and movement.

But you also need friendship, connection, laughter, pleasure, play, music and moments where you’re not trying to become better.

You’re just there.

Sweaty. Laughing. Shaking your fucking booty. ALIVE.

Maybe wellness is also building a life that makes you want to fucking dance in it.🔥 by @blair.thurston

Come with me for a morning hike, before the rest of the world wakes up 😌 by @blair.thurston

IFS therapy isn’t for everyone, but for the clients who it is a good fit for- wow these sessions are powerful 🤍. by @blair.thurston

This weekend I went on a solo adventure to the San Luis Valley, one of my favorite places in Colorado. I soaked in the most magical crystalline hot springs, star gazed (you can see the entire Milky Way at night here!), and was up way before the sun to catch the first morning light. I went for an 8 mile hike in the collegiate peaks wilderness, got stared down by a moose, and saw wildflowers, streams, valleys, meadows, and trees. This is one of my favorite ways to nourish my soul, and I’m so grateful how accessible this beauty and nature is in Colorado! by @blair.thurston

My mom thought I should share more about why boredom matters, so here we are haha. I could write a book about the ways my mom is my greatest spiritual teacher, but for now I’ll leave it at reflections on boredom as a gateway to wholeness 😋. by @blair.thurston

Today I tried something new and allowed myself to feel bored instead of distracting away from it. There’s a whole pathway of boredom -> creativity -> art available to us, if we can learn (remember) to be with the silence 😊. I’m also enjoying posting more organic/impromptu talking reels on my wall, instead of just having them disappear from my stories!! Are any of you good at being bored? If so, I’d love some tips 😋. by @blair.thurston
