Tears of joy and of memories 🥹 Really all the feels doing my 1st #PMCFRide taking on the longest 160km Hammer route 🔨 into Hamilton yesterday, before a more cruisy 105km along the escarpment and into the farmlands of Niagara-on-the-Lake

Grateful to each person who supported my ride getting me past my target to ~$5K 🙏 and helped the 5,000 cyclists raise >$23 million for cancer research and care

It’s kinda fun to wake up at 5am two days in a row with a bunch of like people…maybe we’ll do it again next year 🤔

“Perfectly Paired and Packaged” 🥇
Is how Michael described the judge’s choice award for It Happened in Monterey, the tap trio Marlowe’s in. Not only that but they also won the senior duo/trio overall category for the 1st time!

Through the season I’ve always thought it looked breezy and effortless, like a group of friends meeting up and dancing for fun together. They were totally in the pocket. 😊

This is our final @candancecompetition before Marlowe graduates from @ontarioballet and I can’t speak for her but for a #dancedad who’s had the privilege of enjoying many dance moments over the years, this was the absolute best one! 🙌

I’ve always loved tap, and seeing Marlowe perform it each time in solo, trio or groups regardless of the result often brings dad tears 🥹 So there is nothing better than this…thank you Victoria, Daria and Marlowe ❤️ by @blairaasmith

Literally on the edge of 17, Marlowe my treasure made me feel all the emotions with her final dance performances of the season at Nationals 💗

From the friendly fun of Superstition tap, to the dark, powerful energy of Edge of Seventeen jazz, to pulling tears out of my eyes with One Moment in Time ballet, to the fear and fright of Arrival contemporary, to the moody, pulsing passion of Part Two modern ballet, to feel good vibes of Boogie Wonderland jazz with the entire competitive team…it. was. a. week 💯

Oh yeah, watch long enough see how the dance dads got into too (I think I was attempting an arabesque) 😜

Being a Dad to Marlowe my Treasure is a pleasure 🥰 and this year we added Billy, a furry phantom 🐾🤎🖤 puppy to the family…who apparently thinks he’s a human baby 🤣

And I dont have any recent pics with my Pops because he prefers to pose with his grandkids instead 🤷 but I love him just the same ❤️ by @blairaasmith

“Gooo Bateman’s guy! I love your purple kit!” somebody yelled to me as I passed through the solo area finishing my first lap of the Spring #epic8hour this weekend

Felt great to put on @teambatemans colours for 1st race this season 💜🧡 It’s always a fun to pedal on dirt through a forest 🌳 Hit the minimum goal of 100kms, but hurting a bit too much push just a bit quicker those late laps or to get +1 extra lap in which I had time for…it was a good result, not a great result, and that’s 🆗

Shout out to @an_adventure_cyclist who met me in the pit area as he lapped me, and chose to ride the next lap with me to chat/encourage/pace 👊 When we finished and he threw down a welcome tailgate BBQ and cold beer 🍻 Thx, T

Not all races can be your best race, but there’s only one way to find out ▶️
