As kids, we spent every summer at “cousins camp” at my great aunt Mickey’s farm. 12 summers or so ago we started cousin camp again. This summer we had a full family reunion in Galveston but we still snuck in a creek day meetup for “cousins camp lite.”

They say to write picture books, you must read picture books. I checked out 2 books from the library that were suggested in @annwhitfordpaul ‘s guide. This was written inside the back cover. And I’m reminded this is why we write - so someone else can see themselves reflected in a story and feel not so alone. by @blairmw07
