and maybe, that fire has a home. and that home has a table. and that table, is so full that plates and elbows bump. wine may spill, cod may be dropped in the act of sharing a plate. it looks like a place I’d like to stay. it looks like a future built with hands that are stained from the dirt, or the beets.

A huge thank you to the @beardfoundation - for everything - with an emphasis on bringing us together.

An absolute gift it has been to get to know all of these incredible people.

Grateful for the opportunity to sharpen the tools in our toolboxes, and take home so many new ones — (and super sick merch thank you @chef_works) … until soon, friends.

flock, forever.

because around the age of 16, a woman named Darcy opened her art studio and home up to me, after a series of horrific events in my life. A studio named “Birds of a feather” held me near and dear, and made sure that I made it through, even when it was so very dark, with no plans to make it out.

Flock, the restaurant chapter, held space for me in the kitchen once more, & now it’s our turn to hold space for others.

An homage to the ones who kept the porch light on.
May you find yourself carrying on the kindness that was once given to you.

A long overdue update…

We bought the land.
We bought a structure.
& then we dissolved our restaurant and moved an hour away.
A friend once told me, when it is ready to be vision, it will appear. And here we are, in sight.
