Jesus leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one.

“If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭12‬) #jesuschrist #イエス様　#godsword #主イエス taken in Tokyo, Japan by @blakemperry

a little peek into our sweet simple life here in Japan as we chase after the beautiful feet of Jesus. from that simplicity, we share the Good News with everyone we can. Sometimes it’s just through a simple こにちわ & stopping to talk to the precious grannies as they say how かわいい the kids are or meeting the fellow mamas at the park & finding out what they believe in or don’t believe in & sharing the Gospel with them for the first time. it is slow & humble but fruit takes time & we are here to plant, water & reap in His timing, in His seasons. all glory to King Jesus ❤️‍🔥 by @blakemperry

Our days are simple but full here in Japan. We run after Jesus and look for His feet daily. In the midst of raising babies, finding our way around a new country, studying a new language, using translation apps to try to express ourselves more clearly, taking trains for many hours in the day & maybe getting lost here & there haha…. we seek Him, the One with fire in His eyes. We look for the needy, the broken, the lonely ones. We look for ways to proclaim the beautiful name of Jesus everywhere we go & to see Him worshipped in this beautiful yet broken place. It’s simple- He just wants everything we have. And in return, He gives us everything He has. What an exchange. It’s worth it all. by @blakemperry

A week into being in Japan and our hearts are flooded and moved by the Lord’s love for this people and this land. This is the great adventure, the great commission. Lord Jesus, have Your way in us, and in this precious place.

“Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.”
Isaiah 55:5

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.” ‭‭

We had the immense honor to pray for this young man and to witness the Lord move so powerfully through his body, touching even to the depths of his heart.

What this clip doesn’t show is that this young man gave his life to Jesus directly after being healed, and was powerfully filled with the Spirit of God.

Isn’t Jesus so incredibly wonderful?

“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sickness.”
Matthew 8:17 NKJV

“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭2:24 NKJV
