13.5 years ago, one Saturday afternoon, Wendy, Curt and I went wondering into Petsmart with honestly no intentions in mind.

I’m sure Danny still doesn’t believe us, but we really didn’t plan on walking out of there that day with a 6 month old rescue pup named Charlie Girl.

Although we rescued Charlie, I would happily admit that over the years, she also spent every day rescuing me. Anybody who knows the pure love of a dog knows what I am talking about.

There’s no denying she was a completely crazy nut head, but she was my best friend through and through.

I’m so sad to say that last week we had to say goodbye to each other.

I can’t help but be so grateful for the times we had, but I also know a little piece of me will forever be missing.

Charlie Girl, thank you for the unconditional love, loyalty, joy, and everything in between. Thanks for being the best, best friend. I’m going to forever miss you girly ❤️ taken in 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷. by @blakeschunk
