TG Series: Type Essentials / Part 2 Serif vs. Sans Serif Serif Definition: Those little decorative strokes that extend from the main strokes of letters. Think editorial and timeless. Serifs are like the perfect vintage dress; they never go out of style and add instant sophistication. Makes me think about my La Roue serif. Sans Serif Definition: “Sans” means “without.” These are fonts without those decorative strokes. Think clean and approachable. Sans serifs are your favorite white t-shirt effortlessly chic and works with everything. Eleven Eleven is my go-to when I want something that feels fresh and confident. A shiny new version of The Font Pairing Guide is coming soon! I’ve been working with some designer friends to put together every piece of valuable info you’ll need to elevate your brand. And the best part is that I am taking the guesswork out of any questions you may have about font pairing, Canva tips, font licensing, brand archetypes, font resources, and tons of inspo created by me and our community. Stay tuned, babes xx Stacy #blancsalvage #fontpairingguide #collabs #canvatips by @blancsalvage
I’ve been having such a hard time waiting for this launch because I know how valuable this resource will be for you, and I just can’t wait for you to receive it! Over the years, I’ve heard: “I lose so much time just trying to find fonts that work together.” “By the time I’m done, I’ve wasted half my day on one Instagram post.” “I wish I could just design without overthinking everything.” If that’s you… And you’re spending more time looking on Pinterest for “font pairings” than actually designing—I made something for you. My free Font Pairing Guide is your shortcut. Amy said: “Stacy’s removed so much of the second-guessing that can come with creating a cohesive brand.” Pro-designer feedback! Thanks to all my designer friends that helped bring this resource together. I love the way we collaborate through our designs. Super special creative community we have here. Inside, you get brand recommendations, Canva tips, font resources, and pairings that actually work—not just random combinations, but strategic choices that build a vibe. You don’t have to spend hours shuffling through fonts that may not work. Just grab the guide before you start your next design and get inspired. Think about what you could do with all those hours back in your week, babe. 🖤 Comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send you the link to subscribe so you can grab the guide! 🖤 Save this post or share it with a fellow designer friend. xx Stacy #typography #fontpairing #graphicdesign #brandstyling #designresources #typographydesign #fontlove #designcommunity #creativebusiness by @blancsalvage
Comment WAITLIST, and I’ll send you the link to sign up and get an exclusive 35% off ROGUE when doors open. Your clients will never know it started premade. Throughout this week, I’ll show you more ROGUE customizations. This is MÈCHE, a haircare brand for every texture, designed by @penguindesigning Ingrid started with ROGUE, my premade beauty brand collection. She swapped the red for oxblood and amber, recolored the logo suite, set in the name MÈCHE, and took it into products and packaging with an editorial feel. Her words: “It definitely saved me hours.” And that’s exactly why I built ROGUE. This premade brand collection is for the designer who needs to save hours, if not days, of work so she can take on more clients and stop working late into the night. Buy it once, then hand it off to your design team. It’s the same thing you’d build yourself, already built. 💋 ROGUE launches November 9. Comment WAITLIST, and I’ll send you the link! 🖤 Mockups shown for display only, not included. xx Stacy #premadebranding #branding #graphicdesign #brandidentity by @blancsalvage
Editorial layouts are easier than they look. They start with the same pieces. Small caps at the top set the topic. A big headline grabs attention right away. A pull quote draws the reader in, and body copy carries the rest of the story. Leave plenty of white space around each piece, because that open space is what makes a page feel like a magazine. For the headline and pull quote, use a high-contrast display font like Clair d’Or, designed to be seen at large sizes. For the subhead and body copy, use a clean, legible sans like Eleven Eleven so everything stays easy to read. Super simple! The pairing I used for this layout and the ROGUE Premade Beauty Brand Collection: Clair d’Or Eleven Eleven Which piece do you always start with when you design a layout? 🖤 Follow @blancsalvage for more ways to style your fonts, so you can create editorial layouts that look polished and intentional. 🖤 Fonts found at BlancSalvage.Co 💋 ROGUE Premade Beauty Brand Collection launches November 9 xx Stacy #editorialdesign #graphicdesign #fonts #layoutdesign by @blancsalvage
ROGUE launches with an exclusive 35% off for the waitlist. Comment WAITLIST to join 🖤 Before I ever made fonts, I was a Creative Director. Every design went to my boss first, then to the client. Three people, and more rounds than I can count. Seriously! It was extremely overwhelming, to say the least. The design was never what took me the most time. It was all the back and forth. ROGUE starts with the look and the strategy already built in, so whether you hand it to your team or customize it yourself, you skip straight to the part you love. Get on the waitlist to find out more! ROGUE launches November 9 🎉 xx Stacy #branding #branddesign #brandcollection #graphicdesign by @blancsalvage

Comment WAITLIST, and I’ll send you the link so the hours you work finally match the hours you price. It’s after midnight, and you’re still designing the brand you priced for 20 hours. I’ve been there more times than I can count. When I asked, most of you said your hours and your pricing are “not even close.” The extra hours go to discovery, searching for imagery, and font sourcing. All the parts your client never sees. This is for you if: 🖤 You’re still designing after midnight, more often than you’d like to admit 🖤 You’ve lost hours hunting for fonts and imagery that feel like one brand 🖤 You want to take on more clients without giving up your nights and weekends 🖤 You have clients who love your work but aren’t ready for a custom budget 🖤 You run a team and want to hand off a brand you’ve already approved 🖤 You’re newer to brand design and want a finished example of how it all fits together ROGUE is a premade beauty brand collection with the strategy built in, ready to customize for your client. You get your late nights back, and time for that extra client. This is everything you’d build yourself, already built. You just haven’t met the client yet. 💋 Launching November 9 Comment WAITLIST, and I’ll send you the link! Comment CHECKLIST, and I’ll send you my free Brand Guidelines Checklist so your client knows why her brand looks the way it does. Before I became a font designer, I was a Creative Director. And I learned that when your brand guidelines don’t explain every decision, your client will ask, why this font and this red? Can we change it? Your guidelines can answer those questions before she ever asks. Everything on the checklist takes time to do well, and most of that time comes out of your evenings. 78% of you told me it’s late nights. I asked. Inside the Brand Guidelines Checklist: ✔️ Why the reasoning belongs in your guidelines ✔️ What makes a guidelines doc read as strategy ✔️ How to explain the strategy behind your design decisions ✔️ Common things brand designers forget before sending guidelines ✔️ The final check before you hit send 🖤 Grab this for your next client 🖤 Comment CHECKLIST and I’ll send you the link 💋 ROGUE Premade Beauty Brand Collection launches November 9 Visuals by @studiowitzenhausen xx Stacy #brandguidelines #branddesigner #brandstrategy #graphicdesign #fonts by @blancsalvage
