Video games OST, Phantasy Star Online 2 2012.

Bleak Flesh influences

The soundtrack of Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2), primarily helmed by series veteran Hideaki Kobayashi, is a massive, multi-genre space opera epic. While it heavily respects its roots by remixing iconic themes from Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II, it carves out its own identity through an ambitious, procedurally generative music system.

This album rules! Drawn and Quartered "Lord of Two Horns".

Lord of Two Horns, the ninth full-length album from veteran death metal band Drawn and Quartered, is a relentless sonic assault that reaffirms their position at the pinnacle of underground extreme metal. Released on June 27, 2025, via Nuclear Winter Records, this 33-minute, eight-track effort is a work of pure, destructive, old-school death metal that offers no respite.

"Temic" Thursday, music recommendation.

Be sure to follow the "Bleak Flesh Recommends!" playlist.

True to their name, TEMIC are a dream come true for progheads all around the world. The international supergroup features current and former members of Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, The Neal Morse Band, Haken, Shining and Maraton. While the group’s chart topping debut lived up to the hype, they’ve grown by leaps and bounds on their mighty and magical follow-up Ceiba, a thunderous concept piece about loss in all its various forms. The album was released on October 2, 2026 on Season of Mist.

Video games OST, Planescape: Torment 1999.

Bleak Flesh influences

The soundtrack for Planescape: Torment (1999), composed primarily by Mark Morgan with contributions from Richard Band, is universally regarded as one of the musical masterpieces in the history of role-playing games. Instead of relying on typical medieval fantasy orchestral music, the game offers a dark, melancholic, and deeply immersive soundscape that blends industrial ambient, tribal music, and Gothic mysticism.
------

This album rules! Aran Angmar "Ordo Diabolicum".

"Ordo Diabolicum", the third full-length album by international black metal project Aran Angmar, is praised as an evolved, incredibly catchy, and powerful step forward for the band. Released on March 21, 2025 via Soulseller Records, the 43-minute, 8-track album masterfully bridges the gap between classic second-wave intensity and an infectious, melodic "Hellenic" black metal sound.
------
