Artificial Dopamine (2), my *debut mixtape out now. Link in bio.

Last year i dropped 2 mixtapes that were compilations of songs i made on my phone between 2020 up to 2024. Although the quality, the sound selection and the lack of automation & EQing was very audible, i wasn't bothered back then because i hadn't discovered my romantic feelings for music production yet.
While i was learning to work with Ableton last year i knew i wanted to release those raw, unfiltered, (literally) childlike instrumentals for the sake of putting myself out there. Getting over my fear of being judged, by posting my "crappy" tracks into the world. Unsurprisingly it really helped me get over myself.

If AD 3 and 4 were me coming out the producing closet, this installation is me putting the producer wig on. Those first 2 mixtapes were about proving that i kind of have a feeling for music. This time around, I am introducing you guys to a genuine sonic landscape. The melodies i sing to myself, the tracks inventing themselves in my head when i'm distracted, the songs i can't get out of my head. It's a represantion of who i am as an artist in the musical realm.

Artificial Dopamine (2) is my 2nd years bachelor project. Out of 300 beats i made on my computer the past 1,5 year, i chose 10 songs i felt like perfectly represented what Artificial Dopamine stands for & what i want to bring to music. This isn't simply a self-archiving music dump, it's a genuine project.

SI&LA - JUNIOR

“ Would that ocean be warm if I collected the tears of those who cried over the same pains? What if we combine our tears and create a sea of understanding?”
An ode to Sophie’s “Is It Ccold in the Water?”, How Cold Is That Water? is an audio-installation and an accompanying performance. This work talks about the rough transitionary phases in life, the limbos, taking the spectator into the drift of these phases. It asks you to accept and even see the beauty in the turmoil of inbetweenness. by @blekkswekk
