On Friday August 8th, around 8:30-9 pm my best girlfriend and I was sitting at a red light on 210 talking and basking in the good food we just ate and all of a sudden. Boom…. Something happened, we were confused, scared and everything in between then we realized we had been hit from the back and then we hit someone from the front, sandwiched. The passenger side chair, that a was in, flipped back like a recliner and my legs were up in the dash folded like a pretzel and my arms was crossed on the top of my head. I could no longer see my surroundings and all I could do was to call on JESUS! @patricia.dunn.1485 and I started to pray for help. Her iPhone said, it appears that this iPhone was in a severe car cash do you need help, we both screamed yes. The phone sent our coordinates to 911 and immediately someone was on the phone to help us. A guy showed up asking if we were ok as also called the police. At this time we still don’t know what happened, was still confused and we were stuck. While waiting the young lady who apparently hit us got of her ca(the white one) yelling and screaming at the car 2 ahead of us that it was his fault. All I could do was pray that no one started shoting because again we were stuck in this car. The fire truck showed up pryed the door open so I could get out and placed on the stretcher. Pat was able to to walk but was in a lot of pain as well. We were transported to the local hospital which was packed by the way but in the end took care of us.

I am traumatized and still trying to figure out what happened. But, we are believers and we agree that we are going to be grateful even in this situation.

I am grateful that although we are banged up pretty bad, we have no broken bones or cuts
I am grateful for the IPhone that assisted us through the airways
I am grateful that the airbags although they should have, didn’t deploy because it was have been a different story for me.
I’m grateful for my sister @patricia.dunn.1485 because she covered me even in her time of distress
I’m grateful for my children, my sister and friend who came to see about me and who have been my human walkers, chefs and water barriers while I can’t. by @blessed_258

Happy 5th Birthday to my Granddaughter! Last weekend she had the pleasure of visiting @enchantedfairies for a photo shoot. She immediately transformed and we had an amazing time. The smile on her face and how she instantly transformed was priceless. I’ll always treasure this moment. I love you granddaughter.

Day 30🙏🏾🙏🏾

As this month comes to a close I want to thank everyone who liked, commented and/or shared a post this month. I’m grateful for everyone that was encouraged and completed their own gratitude as a result of something I’ve shared. This is not the end it’s only the beginning. If you are already doing daily gratitudes I pray you continue. If you’ve seen the post and have questions reach out to me. If are inconsistent I pray you get consistent and be on the lookout for the shift in your life. Like I’ve shared this month you can choose to focus on something negative or you can choose to be grateful and focus on something good. You make the call…

Day 29 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’m grateful for birthdays. I don’t make a big fuss about me I just do me. I’m grateful for everyone who called , texted and gave your time to celebrate with me. I’m grateful for the cards and the gifts. I’m grateful for my make up artist who make me glow. I’m grateful for the DJ, the caterer and although the 360 didn’t work out I’m thankful for the photographer. I’m grateful my mom was able to join me. I’m truly grateful for the organizer. I thank God that HE has Blessed me with 50 years and look forward to many more.

Day 26🙏🏾🙏🏾

Today I am thankful for life. During the past year I have experienced loss by the way of deaths of family members, close acquiescences and relationships that no longer serve me. I didn’t understand and it hurt a lot but with each transition I learned that GOD is always in control even when I don’t understand and even when it hurts.

Her I am today, 3 days from my 50th birthday and I can truly say that I am thankful for it all. I’m grateful that my life is in His hands. Lord, I will continue to trust you even when I can’t see, when I don’t understand and when it hurts.🙏🏾💜

Day 24🙏🏾🙏🏾(late entry)

I’m grateful for the places and things that made me smile this year so far. I’ve learned to enjoy the simple things in life. I may be nervous to start sometimes, but once it’s done I wonder what took me so long. Experiences are a blessing.
