Living in Thailand can actually be really affordable.

My rent, phone bill, gym membership, and even utilities were all reasonable.

But somewhere along the way…
I stopped paying attention to the small decisions.

Ordering Grab instead of taking the BTS.
Eating western food every day.
Nightlife.
Convenience.
Comfort.

And before I realized it…
those small habits quietly became expensive.

This month forced me to really look at my spending honestly.

Trying to become more intentional moving forward.

Social media makes it look easy…

“Cheap” rent. “Cheap” food. “Just move to Thailand and figure it out.”

But what they don’t show you is this:
Most people you see already have income, savings, or remote work.

Thailand can be affordable… but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

One of the most unique temples I’ve visited in Thailand. Wat Maneewong in Nakhon Nayok feels completely different from the usual temple stops, especially once you step inside the Naga Palace. Definitely one to save.
